i know i can get into trouble for telling the truth but some times you need to tell a lie we are only human and we all do it, you just need to know if it is the right move or not

Serious though, wanting something and actually getting it are two different things. Everyone is different so who knows whats going to happen. I guess hope for the best and see where things go from there.

Here's something that hasn't entered the equation. You know how sometimes you're just not up for it? What if somebody at that very moment gives 'honesty' their best shot?

I really think that there are people who are honest for the sake of honesty, and then I was raised by one or two that used it as a weapon.

So zing that arrow back around, sweet cheeks. Honest for the sake of honesty, or honest because it feels so good when you hit your target?

There are also times when people mistake honesty for a lie. They read too deep into things: body language, pauses, slow speech, fumbling words... Sometimes you want to tell the truth, but have trouble finding the right way to express the thoughts in your head. Because it can take a while to sort out how you want to phrase it, people can be quick to assume just about anything. "Oh, you didn't like it?" Or, "Can't you give me a straight answer?" Some people are so bent on hearing only what they want to hear that if it doesn't happen right away, they focus on what you're doing rather than what you're saying.

If honesty is subjective or relative, then so are lies. It's a matter of how someone else perceives it. Some accept lies as truth, other accept lies to escape the truth, and vice versa.
