I really dislike the retort "pffft". It makes me want to say, "What's wrong with YOU Dude(tte)? Did you spring a leak?"
So much so I made a reverse acronym. The subject of "manners" comes up frequently here. The idea that we have a "shorthand" of "disparaging speak" in our venacular disturbs me! (ie...."pffft", "dis", "tard", etc.) It's the same old civil behaviour subject, but the language acceptance is REALLY bothersome! No? |

I guess the only thing that really gets me is when they seem to have one word they use like every other word  It's like is that the only word you learned when growing up?

This leads me to assume you may disapprove of my term "my fellow Mingletards" ? I refer to all my fellow Mingletards with only the utmost sincerity. (to me it seems highly appropriate) Ps....when I "Pbtttttt" ...........that is almost always a fart and I refuse to be condemned for a natural bodily function. I also lump in "Brain Fart" with the rest of my bodily functions. |
