It can be fun at first, but it won't last unless one is willing to move to the other. You won't be able to stand the distance between you for long...you've got to be able to touch the other person every day.

You definitely need to be physically healthy to have an LDR.

I think it's a way like others to start a relationship.
long distance is not a problem. the future depends on the king of people and their goals. If their goals in life are matching, it is possible the relationship works.

you did have an experience which did not work.
but i think it's not a generality.
if the people in contact have the most of their goals in life in harmony, it should work.
and surely, there is someone in some area in the world sharing with you most of your goals in life.

Life is hard and having the same goals or even finding a great person do not necessarily guarantee it will work out. Sometimes there just is no "happy ending" in the traditional sense. However, there is always happiness to be found if you will look for it. It just may manifest in a way you didn't expect.

I think it would help both in long distance relationships if both had long arms or tentacles. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was trying to stereotype. I am sure Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four or Stretch Armstrong could back me up on this.
