I think everyone here has a wonderful heart. What I went through as a child and throughout my life, is not for me to advertise, but my family has come to understand and stand by me now, so I hope Noden that you will contact someone...anyone who can and will listen. You never know who will be the one to help you. I understand......life has its way with us, but we can beat this without doing any harm to ourselves. I've had to learn the hard way. I can listen without judgement. And so can so many of the others here. I hope you will talk to someone and seek the help you need.....hugs and saftey to you Noden.

Thank you Ladies, it was a nightmare trying to raise her, but we did come out the other side, really didn't think we would at times. I guess I am stronger today, sure did learn how to handle emergencies, that is for sure. She has "outgrown" a lot of her dysfunction finally, having the babies caused her to grow up. But had counselors and doctors telling me to throw her out, "tough love" her, but never did, just knew deep inside that she was capable of killing herself and couldn't risk that. Even had one doctor tell me to move and not leave a forwarding address for her. But I stuck it out with her, and it paid off in the long run. flowerforyou

Good for you Creation, it is hard, I know what you are going through, or at least can imagine. Hang in there, it will get better as they get older MUCH older, I am afraid. You are a great mom for hanging in there.

Claudette you are an awesome woman, and I appreciate your support too.

There are incredibly supportive people on this site, it is the best.

I wish I lived closer to Noden, I have a big house and have room. Be safe Noden. I have been there myself so many times in my marriage, I pray she is okay.

Depression is a weird thing and it can make even the brightest day seem dark...Medication does not work without counselling...it only masks the original underlying causes of depression....Unfortunately when someone is dealing with severe depression...suicide looks like a good option because they don't want to deal with the pain anymore of what caused it in the first place!!!!

I and my children are survivors. My hubsand fell into a deep depression after his fathers death, we were married for two years, when this occurred. As the years went by his depression, and the abuse got worse....he refused any type of help....and refused to admit that there was any problem with him, that the rest of the world had problems not him. In March of 1999 he took his life.

Through years of counseling, we all learned to accept what had occurred. My children were 8 and 9 at the time, and are doing well today. We have spent a lot of time communicating, and working together to grow strong. You always will carry a pain, and a feeling of not doing enough but you learn to accept the fact that you did what you could.

Most important of all is you learn to survive, to keep on going, and making the most of your life. flowerforyou

Thank you Marie but in my opinion we all here are survivors, you keep on doing what you have to do.......you, your daughter, the other members of the JSH family and etc. Each of you deserve a hug because each of us has a path to follow, some of the paths are unpleasant, and some beautiful so to all of you (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((PLACE YOUR NAME HERE)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

I find it fulfilling that we have such a devistating story that at one time broke our hearts and for me I thought I would never get past the pain. After the healing and therapy to understand, out of the blue I find so many that have dealt with the same issues. Thanks to all of you that have been so very honest and open with such a hard subject to even talk about. I don't about you but while writing my story, I was crying all the way through. Reading what others have posted and the strength that each of us carry with us, gives me encouragment and empowers me to live on happily and know everything is for a reason. Such a sad subject to bring such kind hearts together. Thanks for your sharing, flowerforyou
