Why do some men have a hard time expressing their feelings? Is there a way to get them to open up just a little.

lol, dunno, but thinkin about a torture technique class to help me out with that

I think it has a lot to do with growing up and what kinda relationship you had with your family. Hm as far as getting someone to open up it has to come from them not by anyone trying to open them up.All we can do at time is just be there and let them know were there for them.

I agree with Shadow. I am not afraid to show emotion. So would say I wear my heart on my sleeve. Well, Off to be with my Dad. I'm sooooooo tired... I didn't sleep much last night an hour I think..... Ya'll have a great weekend... |

I think men are extraordinarily simple ... not in a d'ahhhh kind of way ... but rather ....simple, straight forward, uncomplicated.... I like it Would rather be with a group of simple men than a group of simple women... |

dont nag them and get on their case about talkin to you. that will only make them clam up. they have to feel they are in a safe environment emotionally to share their feelings.

well, for one we don,t like exposing our emotions just for the hell of it. when we are happy, sad, or angry we let women know
what else is there to share. |

Men don't have feelings........they have "feelers"
gypsy I have feelings, I've been burned and it hurts ....but luckily my feelers weren't exposed LOL
Gypsy come talk to me and try saying that again

I'm not afraid to show my emotions. I wouldn't necessarily call myself sensitive, but I have no problems talking about or expressing anything.

Because MEN (MOSTLY) have a bad time with commitment,
because of their past experinces and lifes dramas, so to stay open is in THOUGHT, to stay SAFE of THEIR "REAL" feelings, until THEY are COMPLETELY sure that "SHE? is the right one for THEM to commit to... And then, YOU have the PLAYERS,,who will lie and SAY anything to get in YOUR pants,,and DON'T have ANY REAL "FEELINGS" of ANY commitment at ALL,,,once THAT NIGHT is over with! Then you have the ones who are just MENTAL,,and DON'T have a F`U`C`K`I`N`G "CLUE" to what YOUR name is after talking with you for a week,,,lol WARNING,,,,,,WARNING,,,,,,,THIS IS ONLY MY THOUGHTS,,,, AND NOT ALL GUYS MIGHT BE LIKE ONE OF THESE!!! DISCLAIMER! LOL I must TRY to be politically correct, not just when ERECT! |

i know men don't open up too much in relationships but i hate to admit that i don't really either, i think it was the way i grew up like my father never cared we were girls we were expected to do all the yard work and etc. Thats why when it came to work i never asked for help or felt like i needed it i was use to doing psychical labor myself I was also never really close to my father mainly because he left when i was young and never really wanted girls. So i know men are men but i guess some women also have that problem of opening up in a relationship hmmmmmm

I do agree with your comment. Thanks for responding. |

Purple_Goddess,
I do believe that men seem to think they are simple people and maybe they truly are, but alot of times with the opposite of sex they seem to be a bit complex. And straightforward, I don't know, most tend to take the easy way out. |
