"a man to show emotion is a lot like trying to catch butterflies...sometimes you have to sit really quietly and listen for a long time before one will land on you."

I thought only men needs to do that... wel to catch good one, need to be little patient :)

That is good, Native. Not showing emotions can really screw up a person. Showing emotions is a way of communicating. It can cut through a lot of needless problems. The tough, silent and noncommunicative approach is not healthy. It is not real and not human. One can't just think that others will know where one is coming from even though it might be obvious to self. It might get one into an argument and one can feel that being honest can make one vulnerable but still it can make a relationship equal between two or more.

To deal with an emotional person you have to put yourself in their place and try to imagine how you would react if faced with the same stimuli. It is a technique in feedback such this is what I am saying now what are you hearing and how does what I say to you affect you.

The important thing is not to rush it and let the other know how important it is to you to know what you need to know in order to deal with them. When faced with someone who is emotional one must realize that it is not a normal situation.

Roy, I think that's a good way to treat almost any situation.

Thanks, Kidatheart. Where I work I have to deal with emotional people all the time including my own emotions.

Feelings and emotions are two completely different things pizon. Most people show their feeling all the time by what they say. People who show their emotions normally keep the reserved for those closest to them.

Heres a feeling right now and I quote myself.

"My soon to be X-wife should be shot, run over by a Buick then hung from a tree."

Do I really mean it?

Well......ok you got me there.mad
