I was adopted myself at birth, and through the help of the Oprah Winfrey Foundation I was able to reach my birth mother at age 38.
We met in Chicago at Oprah set, along with 4 birth siblings and were about to go on her set when we decided it was best not to air out family business.
We were able to get to know each other for 4 days at hotel paid for by Oprah, and to be honest I don't regret it a bit!
We did decide not to exchange contact information due to me holding a grudge against her to this day.

I wish them the best!

On topic: Please don't allow him to become co-dependant on you as he is transitioning back into civilian life again.

What is his 5th charge for? It could be minor or major.
But if it were me, I would say just leave it alone. Will it get you anywhere knowing him?

I somewhat agree with this post. However, prison does strange things to people and when they get out, 65% are just the way they were before they went in.

But a Father is a father no matter what. It DOES take a lot to be a Dad!

..

..in conclusion i came to this ..if a person loves you and cares about you they will find a way to be in your life..if not, then there's probably a reason, and usually these reasons are not good ..but are nothing more than lame excuses..

..i hope your situation turns out better than mine...smokin

I hope you find out something for your own curiosity. I know I have tried to contact my daughter who I got to know for the first two weeks of her life who was given up for adoption by her mother. As soon as she found out that her girlfriend didn't want the child because she was older she was gone by the time I got there. My deceased wife tried to make contact, too. Now my 22 year old daughter is looking for her 27 year old sister.

To be fair, he can't lose what he never had.
