Surge In Driver’s Licenses For Illegal Immigrants As local governments across the U.S. crack down on illegal immigration, three states that proudly offer undocumented aliens driver’s licenses have seen a big surge in the number of cards issued to those who are not in the country legally. New Mexico, Washington State and Utah have long allowed illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses and all three have seen a major increase in undocumented applicants since Arizona passed its immigration control law earlier this year. You forgot The Federal Republic of Oregon! The last governors election I wanted to make bumper stickers "Another Illegal Align For Kulongoski" & I'm an Illegal Align, And I Vote". Ron |

Shh bro see the virus has spread there's to many illegals to kick out from here. Even if you do by a miracle take them out there's still so many people that have already become legal that already have documents and are helping their families fix documents. What can you do? Do you still believe in a miracle that removes all illegals out of here? Do you really think there is such method?? The virus has spread you can't do nothing about it just sit back and become part of it..... Do you really want to kick all illegals out of the country? Every single one? Even, say, an 80 year old man whose been living here for 40 years, has contributed greatly to his community, and hasn't committed a crime since his illegal entry? I believe that there is a real problem with criminality (gangs, drugs, human trafficking) crossing the border. Having many deterrents to illegal entry is a good thing, and if we go too far to embrace illegals as members of our country it will only encourage more illegal entry. But seriously, actually trying to deport even the majority of illegal entries - whats the point of that? I dont know,,,, the point might be ,,enforcing the laws,,,????? |

i still don't understand how it is you know that they have children justtt to stay here. Lets put it this way. If you say they don't have babies to stay here and he says he does then getting rid of the law is a win win. You think it doesn't have an effect, so if its gone no problem. He thinks they have babies to stay here so if it is gone he won't complain. I personally don't see why we give citizenship to people who were born here and their parents were here illegally. back when the population was a few thousand?,,,, its 300,000,000 now, and like most other countries with similarly large populations, our budget and our system and our resources are not enough to allow EVERYONE in just because they want a better life, so just like in our homes, we have to consider what we can handle and what we WISH to handle, we have to screen and insist on screening those who come through the front door and throwing out those who sneak into the back globally, people should try to make life better WHERE they are, instead of insisting someone else take them in and do it for them I mean, I think switzerland has a wonderful health and education system, perhaps I will visit and have a child so she will have the opportunity to use up resources there finding her a home and providing her a life,,, |

It wouldn't work.
They'd deport you and your child in a heartbeat. |

It's sad to know, we have only one Politician that would stand against the bribes given out by the businesses that hire the Illegal.
Ron Paul would surely throw the Illegal trash out. |

But seriously, actually trying to deport even the majority of illegal entries - whats the point of that? I dont know,,,, the point might be ,,enforcing the laws,,,????? The reality is that we simply cannot effectively enforce all of our laws with 100% effectiveness, and at every turn there is a decision to make about importance, priorities, and even cost/benefit considerations. For example, I think we can all agree that it would not be worth it to hire 20,000 police officers specifically to achieve a 100% elimination of jaywalking. So "achieving complete enforcement for the sake of complete enforcement" is just silly. So the question is: What are your values? Which laws would you like to see enforced with which degree of effectiveness - since we can't afford to enforce them all, completely? One thing to consider, is that increasing the effectiveness of a deportation approach for certain demographics could, maybe, lead to reductions of other crimes. In other words, enforcing one law can be a cost effect way to enforce other laws along with it. But taking a "deport 100% of illegals" approach sounds completely impractical to me. |

I just want to see the laws enforced CURRENTLY and not over ridden by some mass legal recall of the laws if you are here illegally AND you are caught, you should be deported, the excuses about neglecting to have a punitive process for breaking the law are what I want find ridiculous suggesting that anything other than deportation where people have totally DISREGARDED the law, should be considered in such cases is what I find ridiculous for those who at least ENTERED legally, I can understand an extension of sorts for re submitting paperwork, but for those who basically said screw the law when they entered, that is exactly the karma that should come back upon them FROM THE LAW |

Well I strongly agree that the sooner decisive action is taken, the better. |
