My first job, at 16, was working
in a Flower Shop.

The proprietor also owned the
place next door, a Mortuary.

We had to clean the windows with
embalming fluid.

Wow Willing2! Holy crap!

I've had many jobs, but the worst was back in the early 90s during the first Gulf War. Had to sit in the back of this old warehouse with illegal aliens, holding shot glasses shaped like bullets up to the glaring fluorescent lights to check for imperfections. It was a joy. But at least R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion was on the radio.

Damn dude! You're not too good at keeping a job, are you? laugh

Let's see, I`ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king. Oh, wait, that was somebody else. I'll try this again, in no particular order....

Paper carrier
Demolition
Construction
Industrial spill clean-up
Guitar/PA/etc amp/speaker/mixer/etc sales and tech support
Forklift operator, shipping/receiving, caster-material handling equipment assembly, sales, warehouse management
Medical equipment shipping/receiving/all around warehouse EVERYTHING
Automotive technician (currently garage owner/tech since '93)

I might have missed a couple and some are even over-lapped. At one point I was working 1 full-time and 3 part-time jobs at once! I'm not sure which is REALLY my favorite as several had their good points. However, turning a wrench is my calling, even though, for a long time I've considered the thought of becoming an auto shop teacher.

The only job I was ever fired from was the Cattle job.

He'd get perturbed and fire me about every other month.

That went on for a couple years until his emphysema wouldn't allow him to get out any longer.

Sure miss him.
