I think sometimes we see characteristics in others that we wish we could see more in ourselves -- like "I would like to be as focused as they are" or "I would like to be as dependable as they are."
But I've never really been attracted to anything like a polar "opposite" -- at least not on anything more than a superficial level -- there has to be some common ground in order for me to maintain an interest.... |
