the statement that we all know how women are treated where the OP lives is no better than the statement that prompted you to imply that someone who doesnt LIVE it(in your case, being a white male experiencing discrimination) shouldnt be speaking on it or have an opinion

it was not fine for someone to stereotype your experience but fine for you to stereotype others?.....

(for "above" Ms. H)

stories about men always do have inconsistencies, as inconsistancy is something man still hasnt conquered

no, I am saying that muslims are not all the same and do not all treat women the same and to make a statement implying otherwise or grouping all muslims as such is dishonest and divisive

O Thou Soul who art free of "we" and "I,"
0 Thou who art the subtle Essence of the souls of men and women,
When a man or woman unites with Thee, Thou art that One; when their individuality is obliterated, Thou alone art.
Thou didst contrive this "I" and this "we" only so that Thou mightest play the game of worship with Thyself,
So that all "Is" and "Thous" should become one Soul, immersed at last in the one Beloved

equal by whose standards?

men and women are not the same, different CULTURES recognize that in different ways and RELIGIOUS cultures especially

we do not demand women enlist, because we aknowledge gender differences

aknowledging a gender difference is different than treating someone as unequal
