would you like to give me a list of parks.
I am looking for a landscape. it must be somewhat natural, yet also include man made items. nature and man shall be beatifully juxtaposed. go. |

Todd Lake, Central Cascade Range, Deschutes County, Oregon
Even though I do not live in Oregon, I visited a friend a few times. The drive along the way from Bend to Todd Lake has some very beautiful vistas. As for the manmade, There are these, at first, very strange piles of rocks some 6 feet high. I questioned my friend as to what they were and he said that it is nearly impossible to dig in to the ground. So for years folks made these rock pillars to be fence posts to hold wooden fence slats. After years the wooden slats rot away and leave behind the rock posts. These rock piles/posts are sprinkled all through out the forest. I do not know if this is what you are looking for, but they are cool. And do not forget to check out Lava River Cave. Located in Bend. A very cool town. |

The Rose Garden, Hoyt Arboretum, Mt Tabor Park, Skyline Memorial Gardens (it's a cemetery, not a park, but a beautiful place with a view that is truly breathtaking).
Your desired outcome is not sufficiently clear. What does "a landscape" mean to you? There are lots of types of parks. Are we talking camping, picnicking, hiking, where there's lots of water, squirrels, what? What kind of man made items? Picnic tables or objects of art, what? BTW - it seems strange to me that someone like you would misspell a word that in one form describes them . . . especially when your #2 fact is "i like to communicate with people who can spell." Like I would never misspell intelligently. would you like to give me a list of parks. I am looking for a landscape. it must be somewhat natural, yet also include man made items. nature and man shall be beatifully juxtaposed. go. |

I'm going to have to think about this. I have my favorite places in Oregon, but they might not be the kind of thing that you like. You might go to a Borders or a Barnes & Noble and find one of those coffee table books about Oregon. There are some really good ones. Flip the pages and see what looks good to you.
I should add that this website gives you information about Oregon's State Parks http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_113.php There are also some really spectacular National Parks in Oregon. What do you like in terms of landscape? |
