-Eminem/Rihana - Love The Way You Lie
-Maroon 5 - Misery

Check'em out.

IMO, these are really good songs (sonically at least)!....but I am MORE THAN conflicted with the message.

This can go in music, dating, chat, sex, or whatever "general" category you want, but..

It seems we are addicted to the "intensity of the tempestuous".

I'm not trying to say anything righteous OR fuzzy......I just think I'm not alone wanting to bring roses to a Black Sabbath concert.

No question here, just looking for comments on the affliction AND confliction.

not a big fan of the autotune age,,,but I do enjoy the writing style of maroon five and the way they can tell a story about unhealthy relationships

if its a fact of life, someone will sing about it. As long as they arent singing as if its a GOOD thing, and without all the vulgarity, I am fine with it.

Now radio choosing to play certain(age sensitive) music during day hours is another issue

I dont care too much for eminem or rhianna personally, I do like a lot of new sounds and songs coming out though. Like the maroon 5 remix album a lot. I like Pink, and there has been an increase of really good alternative music coming out lately I noticed.

SSSSSSSSWEEEEEEEETTTTT DISSSPOSSIITTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIONNNN!

and who sings that song,

my other new fave is Liztomania-not easily offended-a mess for the masses, Pheonix?

My yougest son Ry, is currently six hundred kilometres away and probably deaf, with a giant **** eating grin on his face....he just saw Bullet For My Valentine and Oli Sykes, from Bring me The Horizon kissed him....two heavy metal screamo type bands from the US...

Gawd help me! noway laugh ....however, in saying that....the lyrical content of their style of music is profound, and certainly a clear insight into what the youth are experiencing, and perceiving their world to look like..

For me, my style is more Indie/Alternative....and HAS to have a sincere relevance to what my world looks like...it is necessary to be relatable...

Influenced?...hmmm...which came first? the lyrics or the life?

hmmm....well i agree that the times have changed and it makes sense that the music would change with it as well as all the otehr facets of life and society.

in a way i like it ...i mean...with eminem/rihanna -love the way you lie....thats a powerful song in a way ...i like how it brings to light abusive relationships. but this could just be me looking for that silver lining.

alot of the music has a message to it...nickelbacks-if everyone cared, billy talent -nothing to lose, sick puppies -all the same....i could go on.

im not sure we can change society (yet) so for the time being we can go along with it and do what we can with what we have *shrugs* lol. the way i see it, alot of topics that weren't supposed to be talked about are coming to light and are being acknowledged. there was a time when divorces were frowned upon...a time when women weren't allowed to vote....changes happened.

just my thoughts....if that answered your question in any way lol.

Pop culture is the root of evil, and leads to a criminal record. Stats don't lie!
