I've had four guys in the last three weeks ask me this, and one guy asks me at least once a week. Is this some sort of pop test or something? Is there some sort of element I'm missing? Because I usually only ever get a grunt out of them afterwards and no elaboration. And they certainly don't reciprocate. I'm wondering if it goes beyond the job, basic living, freedom to do stuff sort of question? Do they want to hear "I'd like to have wicked, raunchy sex out in the woods, and have a picnic (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), while out there in the evening?" What m I missing? You're not missing anything; the question "What do you want?" is too vague, too broad, to do much with, lacking some sort of context. I want a Pepsi, I want to sell millions of books, I want a girlfriend who won't try to change me, I want lots of stuff. It's all over the map. If someone asks you that question without specifying some sort of parameters, they're basically just asking for a Christmas list. |
