I think your stinky dog chased her away...  It could be... she be stanky!! I just hosed off one dog and called for Lucy... never saw her moe so fast... away from me.  That's amazingly similar to the way my son reacts in the same situation! |

I don't understand... never been good at training dogs either. She's a mutt, but has has webbed-toes... water-dog, right? She hates it... I give her a bath and she thinks it's punishment... not like other dogs that just act all annoyed. She loves the rain and mud though... I need to take her to the lake and see if she'll get in there... idk.
With children you can at least negotiate some sensible conversation in edgewise... |

My kids went through a similar situation with thier Rotti...Daisy...she was the most stubborn dog eva about water. One day my son in law got fed up and dropped her off the boat into the water. Now swimming is her fave thing and she has experienced a lifetime of joy in the water. She's getting up there now, shes 10 and has some hip probs, but boy, to this day you put her in the water? and shes a puppy all over again.

Had to run around town all morning.
Then clean the cottage for incoming guests. Take a friend to lunch across the street. They just added an all-you-can-eat buffet at the chinese place. My friend, skydancingA, eats everything in sight, it is a tribal thing. I just watch in awe. And bring mine home to make 4 more meals :-) |
