If you don't vote, you have no right to bitchh after the election. No participation means no voice.

This just goes to show how you are part of the problem and not the solution. This is your country too, maybe you should take an interest in it and try to fix what you can before you have kids and they end up worse off than our generation. Nothing is more powerful in this world than ignorance...

I don't vote, never have, never will. I can't support any system in which flawed, fallible human beings are given sanctioned authority over the lives of other flawed, fallible human beings. It makes no sense to me. Would you put the biggest dog in charge of the kennel?

When asked about my political leanings, I identify myself as an anarchist. People don't know what the term means, though; most think it's about chaos and bomb-throwing. It's not. Anarchy doesn't mean "no rules," it just means "no leaders."

I think the people who are into politics are hilarious. They get to damn worked up and opinionated and all they did was vote, like their one little vote was going to change things. How about a solution to these problems ya'll biitch about? Didn't think so.

If you want to change things GET INVOLVED (just voting is not being involved) or SHUT UP.

IMHO, a vote from an uninformed person is worse than no vote at all.

I teach my kids, HONESTY_RESPECT_ with regards to humans, animals and plants. I dont go hiding ballot boxes when things begin to look grim, I teach them STRENGTH, I dont say to them I cant see which boxes are checked because 10,000 people got confused, It's called HONESTY and I have yet to see ONE PERSON EVER RUN without a smear campaign, or go opposite of what they promised. SO IGNORANCE is NOT being taught to my children, HONESTY is. The ignorants are the ones who say "that guy will lower my taxes and my mortgage" then raises everything in town and rips the science and art programs out of schools with all the funding so our MATH will look comparable to the Japanese. Get real!

I agree. I rather have less voters, but well informed, well rounded people. No, not the fanatics who believe in either blue or red makes any difference, but just people who are able to search everything on their own and make up their own opinion, and not having everything chewed into their mouths.

I'm not registered, either. The AKC couldn't figure out my breed.

I find ... most people don't vote for someone ....
they vote against someone.

Municipal elections are more important then federal and its more likely you will actually know some of the candidates and may choose to vote for someone you know will have similar local interests as you.

Party politics of State/Provincial and Federal elections is one of the biggest problems in our democracies.

the second they legalized marijuana in california-boom veto'd same thing with gay marriage, im not saying whether im for or against either of those two in particular, but i am just saying if the vote of the people actually do count and it goes on to pass a law it takes a small group of other people to make sure the voters law never gets put into effect hence all their votes were in vain.

Most the people that condemn me for not voting usually never even make it to their voting station anyways because they are too lazy.

You're NOT condemned ... you have every right to not vote. BUT: If you don't want to participate and vote, then please have the good grace and common courtesy to just shut up when things don't go the way you wanted 'em to ... You had the chance and chose to ignore the opportunity ... Choice 'n consequence. Oh - NOT voting is also laziness in action ... just sayin' ...
