Topic: Why don't we start a Common courtesy Month? | |
---|---|
I bought a old man 2 apple pies from MC D's because he couldn't hardly walk and he really wanted them and the cashiers wouldn't pay him attention. It made me feel good inside.

I was doing just fine on this list, until I saw drive the speed limit.... That's just something I can't do, and I really don't see how it relates to courtesy. It realtes, because some people drive right on you bumper when you driving. I dislike it alot too. They could follow the 3 second rule at least. |

The way it should be everyday but guess if some at least tried it for a month maybe they could continue.........

What makes it common is the fact that it should be done all the time.
If there were a day.... it would just be like... courtesy day. |
|

that is the truth.

Does anyone but me find it mildly entertaining that society has come to the point that we need monthly reminders of what we should do? Breast cancer awareness, drunk driving awareness, celebration of life, American heart, caffeine awareness.
Congratulations, society, now we just have to color it so it catches your ADD attention span - ADHD Awareness month. |

For sure.
Awareness awareness month, maybe. Make sure you are at least aware of the fact that you're supposed to be aware of what you're doing. I'm a big fan of Buy Nothing Day. |

ok sometimes if the traffic is congested, you can drive right on people's bumpers because you have to. But that don't mean you do it all the time.

If common courtesy was so "common" wouldn't it be just courtesy. It should be called un-common courtesy. Then if it actually caught on we could call it common.
It always good to get your karma in for the day, just adds brownie points to when our judgment days come. [if your into that sort of thing]but i am not saying be kind to people just for the sole fact of getting these brownie points, be kind to people just because you can. You don't want to be rude and crude all the time do you? It is always nice to do something for others cause' not only do they feel good, you to as well will have a better outlook on the day. |

I vote translucent since courtesy does not happen to often. And a lot of times it's hard to see. |

We also have national pancake day and national fry day.
It's really sad when you create something and don't follow it yourself as much as you should. I actully did hold the door open for a family awhile back ago and they all said thank you. So people are around with respect still, you this have to give respect to receive it, which is sad, but it's the true. Lets make it a everday thing and if we do it everday, then maybe people will pick up our habits. We should create a group of people in each city to show respect and treat people that way.. and then post on here each day what happend when you give people respect and do things for them. If this sounds like a great idea to you, let me know. |
