not specific to me, but I am curious...

Can a relationship "overheat"... even after months (let's say... 9 months)... can too much of a good thing be had? Can it be recovered?? Have you ever been in a relationship that has "overheated"???...

I was talking with my best friend this weekend (a woman), I was asking how things were going with her BO... she has been seeing him for almost a year, and she kept saying that things were "overheating"... I kinda assume it means he was smothering her, or things were getting too intense for her... not quite sure what she meant, hence my post!

Good Question!

Did you ask your best friend for clarification on what she meant? We can't read her mind.

Before the question can be answered intelligently, the term has to be defined ...

No, but I have been overwhelmed to the point where I wanted to lay in my bed, and not come out, praying he doesnt call, cos it was too much for me, and very hot and passionate. I relaxed some and the relationship went on, but omg... it was like..

Hahhahahah Omg those days were crazy!

Well

Overheating---like in the bedroom is a great thing!!!

But if you mean fighting-- that sucks and it's a bad sign

ya gotta have calmness and talking and peacefulness with your partner

but when ya close that bedroom door

OVERHEAT baby!!!!!!!

Maybe spending too much time together would equate to overheating?

I would have to have more info.

Over heating for me would mean we have so much passion together it almost uncontrollable  laugh

If she's meaning smothering, then yes, been there. It sucks, especially when they refuse to listen.

If you're talking about a new couple who blow everything off to spend every waking second they can in the bedroom? smooched

Then yes, been there. bigsmile

It's great at the time, but eight months later, when you finally get your head out of the clouds, your life is a mess and all your friends hate you.

If that's not what you're talking about, then probably no. ohwell
