...I love photos....they show us tiny fragments of this ever changing thing called life...

My youngest two kids and I, took a day off away from renovating this old house we have and went to a cultural Festival about 200 kms from home...

<--------------I looked at this pic that was sent to me, just a moment ago, and went wow!!!

When did my kids get so funky???...they are young adults or pre adults...and as groovy as all get out..

What do you have that keeps your 'increments of time" safe???

and do you notice them, or is life a blur???

Music always brings back memories for me.

One particular song just makes me all gooey inside with fond memories of the past....a beautiful moment in time.

I guess memory is not a safe place to lock away increments of time...laugh

I had a boyfriend, who died very suddenly
when we were 22.
He wore this certain cologne, I don't recall
the name. Just the scent.

One day, 30 years later, as I am walking down
a busy sidewalk, wafting on the wind, I smell
that cologne. My heart skipped a beat, my foot
missed a step......and I thought he was there.
A whiff of his cologne.

So, I think mbcasey, the memory is an excellent
place to store your life, it remembers for you.
You don't have to do a thing.

I get all misty when I listen to The Allman Bros Band doin' 'Statesboro Blues' ...

btw, Soufie - I had the same experience after my fiancée's death in '08 ... every now 'n then I'd get a whiff of her fragrance (she used to mix two fragrances together), so I figure it was her stoppin' by to check up and make sure I was okay ... I know what you mean.

I sure wish I knew what happened during the increment of time from 4a.m. till just now (630p.m)

Tequila and GHB will wipe your mind completely blank....well not completely...I remember being really horny......

hehehehehe No silly...I gotta PAY for that.

Go figure, GHB is the new drug of choice out here and it isnt the date rape drug if you are giving it to yourself.

That's a wicked mix man... I once did that and tried to walk up a wall, literally!! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. That's also the only time I ever remember giving friends instructions on what to do with my dead body - because I didn't think I'd be around in the morning.

Don't remember being horny specifically because of the drug, I'm a guy though, it's just a normal state.

I've the most amazing inner Cinema ... love

Daily matinees w/ the sappiest, heart rending, vignette chronicles ...

Reel to Reel ... Loop to Loop ... Not a thing was lost ... I recorded ALL ...

Wall to Wall, too ... A virtual Museum capture of time, space, love, energy, impressions, feelings, thoughts, Spirits and Souls ...

I remember everything, since diapers ...

Pictures unending ... Yes, often triggered by sensory incoming ...

Smells, sounds, music, nature, dreams, film, poetry, seasons ...

I now deeply treasure all my real photos, too ... All my photos pre age 26 are now gone ... brokenheart

They ALL still remain in my heart's 3rd Eye, evermore ...

I haven't been able to grasp the passage of time at all. I guess I still feel stuck in about my mid 20's even though I'm 41. I suppose it's because I haven't been able to have kids. I always thought I'd be someone's mom. Now all of my peers are becoming grandparents and it doesn't even seem possible.
Songs and smells evoke the strongest memories, but those events always feel like they just happened in the moment. Hmmmm, time eludes me.

I don't think I can capture time... it captures me and holds me in its bonds.

I usually remember nothing, or very little. I devote my life now to those who don't remember anything, by erasing them from my memory.

If a man lives after his death as long as he is present in someone's memory, I want you all to forget about me.

That's so because life sucks. That's so because I am not the one whom it does it to.
