so you guys actually think with government, lawyers, and the speed of communication that we need unions? they are just a drain on the economy, with the only benefits of not getting fired. Every union i've seen, the laborers are useless, doing drugs on the job, lazy and whiny. the ONLY reason they had a job is because of the worthless union. Unions take advantage of stupid people that can't hold a job anywhere else.

I think many working class people cannot afford attorneys. The last attorney I went to wanted 1200 to procure a divorce, that was nearly a months pay for me,,,and having obtained certification as a paralegal, I know the paperwork can be obtained and done for oneself at the courthouse,,,I just didnt want to be bothered(until I saw an attorney)

if you look, you can find attorneys that will do it for next to nothing... a lot of people are doing the prepaid legal thing now too.

my ex boss was getting sued by about 5 different people, and he fought all of them on a prepaid plan. he told me it was the best money he ever spent. he seemed really happy with it.
but to put all that money that you sweated to earn in someone elses pocket makes no sence to me.

thats how I feel about paying lawyers,, Im sure there are exceptions but MOST are expecting quite an exhorbarrant price for their efforts.

47 out of 50 States (ooops, I mean 57 States!!) has lost jobs under Obammy's Stimulous scam....

http://republicans.waysandmeans.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=199201

While the Obama Administration continues their so-called “Recovery Summer” tour claiming the Democrats’ stimulus bill “saved or created” three millions jobs, the facts show 47 out of 50 States have lost jobs since stimulus passed. The table below compares the number of jobs the Administration currently claims its stimulus has somehow created in each State (center column) with the actual change in jobs since stimulus became law (right hand column), as documented by the Department of Labor. It shows that only Alaska, Kentucky and North Dakota, along with the District of Columbia, have shown any real job growth since stimulus passed – and even in those States the official job creation has fallen far short of Administration claims.

“Americans are asking where are the jobs, but all Washington Democrats are showing them is more unemployment, debt and higher deficits,” said Ways and Means Ranking Member Dave Camp (R-MI).

I don't know how ... in one post someone can say all Government are worthless ... and then expect someone else to take their quote of a government representative as having any authority ...

it just makes no sense.

as for the stupid stats going from when the bill passed and thinking that gives them authority is ... just that ... stupid.

it takes at least 1 year for anything that is passed to actually start to show its real effect on the economy. Most of the time it takes 2-3 years.

We may want immediate results ... but anything that looks like them is total b.s. coincidental hype.

I doubt there is a correlation between the job stimulus vs. the loss of jobs by the states. While it might be a weak attempt to try to slow down the unemployment numbers, the losses are contributed to the housing crisis, which really started to become more appearant (but it was already developing) in 2005-2006.
In 2004, I worked with construction managers and they were already talking about a crisis coming, they were basing their assumptions on the lack of new projects and the lack of buying of new properties. They were right.
