I have met a few friends on here and I love the forums. There are scammers although, I have yet to meet any yet. *knock on wood*
I just take this website for what it is. Meeting new people from all over and taking it day by day is the easiest. Mind you if I happen to find the love of my life then wonderful but that is not my intentions. |

well I did say "ex"... I realize online dating is going to continue to grow, but are people having luck with it? Are you being approached by people genuinely interested in getting to know you or just those looking for a hook-up? Curious... Lots of responses but no hook ups. Just lots of game playing. |

Are you being approached by people genuinely interested in getting to know you or just those looking for a hook-up? Curious... Well, this is up my alley :-) I only opened an account to help a friend. Out-of-focus picture, vapid profile. Expectations did not exist. Uh oh. Met a Mingle2 feller. By accident. Right off the bat. Deactivated for 6 months. Planned the meet. (never left the forums, posted as skydancingA) Met feller after 6 months. Reality is a bit$h. Reactivated. Zero expectations. Although..there is this one on here... Point is this. If you limit your expectations to..having a good time, getting to know people, maybe expressing yourself and opening up a little in the forums, the worst that can happen to you is, you might make some good friends. The best thing that can happen to you is, of course, finding someone you want more of. |

The closest "approach" I get is emails and nudges, people 10 states away. Also , luck is the least what is needed. Nevermind, that the most interesting and meaningful discussion I had in the near past was someone from France and someone else from the Dominican Republic. |

I'm being approached by people who haven't read my profile and have no clue that they don't fit my parameters, and I'm being approached by people who want to change me.... Still waiting to be approached by someone realistically compatible, but I'm not holding my breath....

baggage just means ya can stay overnight if ya get too wasted or things got you so occupied ya need more time there. its the adding baggage that I'm trying to avoid so the trip home isn't too hard |
