I find myself thinking (assumptively) "Ya, I rememember that"..even though I realize that I HAVE NO FREEGIN CLUE what it's like to be young "these days".

I catch my tongue when I start to say "when I was your age"....Eeeew, sounds too much like my parents.

I'm 42 and some of my contemporaries are becoming Grandparents. WOW!


I don't feel that different....but time has various surprises for me.

Here's to the young. Yuh wonder WTF when someone says that "this is the best time of your life" It IS...and ISN'T. Explain it to your grandchildren someday.

I hear ya... problem is I already have a grandchild to say those things to. Someday's already here...

Back in my day if there was an emergency we actually had to DIAL 911 I wonder how many people didn't make it because it took awhile for the 9 to come back around

Not only did we have a rotary phone when I was a kid, we had a party line! What a PITA that was... pick up the phone to call your friends, and have to wait for the neighbor to get done with their call.

I remember those.

Also I was the remote control for the tv, my Father use to yell stop turning it so fast , you'll break the damn thing.

When I was younger, I thought older people were square, and out of touch, but now that im older, I find that were all the same, we just look different. I wish I had listened to older people better when i was younger, now I find the only difference between young and old is the way we look, and the amount of knowledge we have. Whenever I try to explain something to a young person, and they don't believe me, I see myself, 30 years ago, standing in front of me. Amazing

Hell i am old as dirt BUT I still get 30 year olds (thats in dolls, and she still thinks I am 32!!)

One of my friends has a rotary wall phone in his garage, and it works ! It's like going back in time, every time I use it

Our remote control had hammers and tuned rods to make the controlling tones. That was high tech back then. lol

I knew I was getting older when I started saying...."Years ago...."

I know this sounds crazy but I got a coke in an actual "glass" bottle the other day. Man, I'd forgotten how good it tasted when it wasn't in plastic.

Thankfully I will never have grandkids because I don't have kids!!

The only flair up of age I have is when I see kids acting stupid (just like I did) and I think, "I remember when I was that dumb!" I laugh at them and thank everything around me I am not them anymore!!!

Ok ... I guess I do have another one. When I see kids complaining about their iPhones or xBox360 - I think - "Shut up! We had Pong, rotary phones, no answering machines and no call waiting until I was a teenager!"
