Even the secularists are desperately seeking the answers to the riddle of life via the sciences. It's human nature to want to understand our truest primal essence. Whether you want to call that 'god' or not is an entirely different matter. Many people prefer to simply call it 'spritiuality'. Those who call it 'accidentality' have yet to explain just what it was that begat the accident. how can a God that can't be proved to exist provide any answers to someone's origin...this is why spirituality is pantheism ..it's someone placing themselves onto the same level as God in order to provide an answer that will bring them contentment and then link it to an unprovable God |

Nah, I was just makin' the age olde mistake of 'throwin' pearls before swine', always a misguided exercise in futility ... well actually you were making the age old mistake of trying to play God and control what people say and/or how they post it ....those with holier-than-thou attitudes such as yourself generally have to be reminded that this forum have moderators and that it is their job to regulate what is posted in the thread and not your job .... if you feel that your values are super superior to that of the mingle2 moderators and that they are doing such a lousy job that don't meet with your Christian standards then complain to the website owners instead of constantly whining about me in the threads ..until then try and debate about the topic and not about the poster BEHOLD POSTERS ...for I have not come to change the laws of the mingle2 moderators but have come to full-fill them ...you can follow their rules but your posts will not be righteous except through me ..for I AM Dancere Christ...your lord and Moderator |

ah yes...what are the boundaries of a limitless god? i knew you would "enjoy" panentheism vs. pantheism!
i agree that i always viewed them as identical concepts as i see the spiritual or incorporeal as part of Nature... how could it be otherwise? so, i don't believe in the super-natural - not because i don't believe in wild spiritual things which i have never experienced - but because i think they are natural - a part of Nature. i don't make a distinction. it is just like that in the Wiki. I like this way of thinking...thanks for mentioning it, more points to ponder. |

Faith is a beautiful thing. It is nice to have. For a person to know that he or she is enjoying God's grace is uplifting and exhilarating. Just like love. But it's stupid. Why are all the nice, beautiful, and lovely things in this world all sooo very stupid? I don't like that. Like the lilies, and the birds. Are they smart? No they are not. Are they stupid? Yes, they are. Yet they, and cute puppies and young kittens are all much-much lovelier than a 60-year-old retired, old and grumpy, flat-footed gumshoe of a calculus teacher. |
