I can understand your dilemma. My suggestion is ... if there is someone
extremely close to you.... like if you have a gentleman in your life who
has been there for you through thick and thin, even if its neither your
Dad Dad or your step father. You mentioned your Mom always being there
for you. If you dont want her to be uncomfortable about it, then maybe
there is a nephew or do you have a son?

I know when I get married, I am hoping to have one of my nephews who I
raised for a little while and one of my cousins who is like a baby
brother walk me down the aisle.

Well thats one possibility for me anyways.

planning and doing the catering....awww i can't wait to see the finished
product. LOL..i just dread making the wedding cake

LOL..not really..we've done so many....i mean the heardest thing is
actually making sure that the cake didn't compact during baking. I
don't do the icing...anyother lady does that...it's just a pain in the
butt because we do everything from scratch. Most of the harder and
annoying things you can do for a wedding ..you can do weeks , sometimes
even a month before hand as long as you store them the right way. I
guess the most annoying thing would beind doing like cheese straws and
mints. But it just depends on how big the wedding is gonna be and how
many people you have to help you prepare everything.

katie, honestly, i had the same problem, so i had my mom walk me down
the aisle. my step dad and real dad hated each other and i didnt want
drama at my wedding.

Well it's just the same thing as a regular cake..just bigger..and it has
to be perfect....you don't want the bride to turn into bridezilla :D
