If anybody heard on the news about South Carolina's Alvin Greene and his win to race in the Senate, I'm sure you are shaking your heads. If you have not, I'd invite you to check out the story.

I swear...there's something wrong with this guy and I don't know how...no wait...I don't know HOW he won the votes. To top it off, he has pending criminal charges against him. Man, another man making South Carolina look bad again.

I've been following it.

Curious to see how it's going to play out.

This is gonna hurt the Democratic party. No matter the outcome this fiasco just guaranteed the re-election of the Republican candidate.

I've already made up in my mind if Greene is elected (by some bizarre way) to represent SC, I will find a job in another state and move. I'm getting tired of this state and the political leaders' mishaps. (John Edwards, Mark Sanford, the guy that booed the President during his speech, and now Alvin Greene.) noway

Maybe he just wants a photograph with presidents.

Be proud, South Carolina ....

Clyburn didn't deserve to win, either ... he's just callin' for an 'investigation' 'cuz $10,000 of somebody's money was taken from HIM - but it was okay for him to vote to take OUR money from US with 'ObamaCare' and his other votes ... what goes 'round ...

Just catching wind of it and trying to catch up on what is going on.

I just heard that he got more votes than were officially cast.

Sounds really strange.

Don't worry about it, if he got elected for some reason(which he wont, he's facing a good Seantor) the Senate can expel him for the pending felony(which they most certainly will).

There really is something funny going on here and I hope for the sake of our electoral process they figure it out and fast and get him replaced with a qualified candidate unless for some reason he got the votes legitimately, which I highly doubt.

From what I've heard from a few South Carolinians, nobody likes our Senator now. I don't know who is better qualified, candidate wise. If something can be done to where another respectable candidate is added to give the people a better choice in the upcoming election, I'd be all for it. Shucks! I'm not into politics, but this topic here is really making me want to do some research and follow up on what's going on.

Have only seen him in 1 interview (With K.O.) and he looked like he was waaaaay in over his head. The whole interview was just absolutely painful to watch.

Something just doesn't seem right about this whole thing. I've always thought it was hard enough for a "common man" to run for the Senate seat and, even though it may be an anomaly, it sure doesn't feel like someone can just "slip in" like that.

IMHO it needs a closer look which I am sure it will get.

I agree. Some people thinks Greene was planted somehow. If he was, he's making a big buzz around the US. Not only that, I saw a clip online where an interviewer from FOX (I believe it was FOX News) asked Greene if he could show him a picture in uniform for the military. Greene didn't seem to have one around. And yet, he had a bunch of baby pictures of himself he kept showing and reshowing. noway

I'm sure I'd survive too...but really, not for this candidate. I'm trying to adjust to these Piggly Wiggly commercials adding -ly at the end of food (ex. : Hotly dogly, coldly beerly, chipsly diply....) noway

Is this the guy that is facing FELONY charges??

Funny how the Democrat Party down there had " no IDEA " that he was facing felony charges unti after the fact.

Boy...what does that say for the Democrat voters and the party itself??

How easily duped they were speaks VOLUMES.

IF he was a " plant " by the Republicans...then the Democrats are even BIGGER dupes.

Not to mention all the Republicans that would have had to switch their party affiliation to vote in the Democratic primary to take the election.

Clip from article:
Mr. Greene had just a few peaceful hours to savor his victory in the tiny, ramshackle home he shares with his elderly father along a quiet highway in Manning, where he has been bunkered since election night. Then, The Associated Press reported that Mr. Greene was arrested in November and is facing a felony obscenity charge; he is accused of showing pornography to a University of South Carolina student. He had been discharged “involuntarily” from the Army and showed no signs of having waged an actual campaign in recent months — no advertising, no staff, no money.

Mr. Greene, who declined to comment on the obscenity charge, would not say how he came up with the $10,440 to register his candidacy. Representative James E. Clyburn, Democrat of South Carolina and the House majority whip, suggested that Mr. Greene was a “Republican plant” and that the circumstance reeked of the “shenanigans” that have become the state’s trademark.

It's the blame game that Obama mastered. Hell I remember when Hillary said that her husband having sex with Monica was orcastrated by Republican operatives.rofl
