It is no more the Arabs historical homeland than the Israelis historical homeland. Israel is one of the first documented countries historically and Jews have lived there continuously since antiquity despite many conquerors and expulsions. It has NEVER been a documented Arab country.



The Israelis go out of their way to WARN women and children about any military action. Dropping leaflets, broadcasting on radio, even phone calls in areas where there are military operations!!

Compare that to Hamas tactics where they bomb buses, school cafeterias and restaurants and markets....Compare it to shooting rockets into cities indiscriminately TRYING mind you to actually kill as many people as possible.

Who teaches ethnic hatred in kindergarten, glorifying martyrdom against infidels and making antisemitic and violence glorifying cartoons for their children? Hamas and Hizbullah. Not Israel. Right.

Israel is doing an admirable job. Sure they have their problems.
But overall it is a free press, open democracy with complete freedom of religion and a place of equality for women. They have been surviving with the daily threat of 911 style terrorist attacks for decades and yet for the most part remain an optimistic and well adjusted society with incredible technical innovation, robust agriculture, and a growing economy. Much to admire there. I admire them. If the Palestinians put down their weapons they could prosper too - even as allies of the Israelis when they so choose.

As I see it the main obstacle is ignorance and prejudice with a radical Islamic fundamentalism which denies the equality of Jews and Christians and other religions as they seek to force their backward ways on everyone else.
