Think about this for a minute what good is it to get in any relationship if you do not know what you want to begin with?

Explain in detail what would be the perfect match for you.

I will get it started by saying i'm looking for a girl who can fit with my life a good girl who can stand by me no matter what. A woman who enjoys the things I wanna do. A woman who will support my decisions. Someone who will not judge me or hold grudges. Generally an all around positive experience. A strong woman a survivor someone who knows how to hang on in a tough situation. A woman who will contribute and want to give into the relationship. A woman who will listen and want to understand what is going on.

..I think of a relationship like a puzzle if pieces are missing it does not look or feel complete.

Yeah I do have standards and I am gonna pick and choose who I will date and make my girlfriend.

I would suggest to any guy out there to put up some filters as to who your going to date and or make your girlfriend some girls out there just will not be compatible period.

Yeah us men are all a bunch of sex crazed pigs looking to free load off of some rich biotch. And more than willing to give up our manhood to do it.

I agree, but my filters have apparently eliminated every female in the civilized world, the uncivilized world, the free world, the unfree world, all of the other planets in the galaxy, in other galaxies, in parallel universes, etc.

OK, so, in accordance with your original post, I will now explain, in detail, what it is I'm looking for.

I'd like to meet someone intelligent (brains are sexy!); you know, high IQ, ridiculously good grades in school, able to talk M-theory and punctuated equilibrium and sahelanthropus tchadensis, preferably all in the same sentence.

Creativity is important: as a writer, I find myself more suited to entanglements with other creative types, be they musicians, painters, photographers, or other writers, etc. If I really like her, I'll name a character in my next book after her.

Communications skills: I studied psychology for 7 years, so I'm a very good listener, which means my partner has to be able to keep a conversation going. Also, on the written side, she should have writing skills at least the equal of mine, in terms of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and the ability to make up words when there isn't a real one readily available to capture the desired meaning.

I won't get involved with anyone who has kids, or who uses alcohol or illegal drugs. Period.

Physically, I'm attracted to the nerd-girl geek-girl librarian type, usually with glasses, sometimes with an overabundance of eye makeup. I'm not a boob guy, you can keep those; I'd prefer someone who looks the right way in shorts.

....and someone who will buy all my books and tell me how great they were, well, that always helps, too....!

Hummm don't forget the women have those so called standards as well... When ya find that perfect one for you it could be that that little something you do you thought was no big deal was the deal breaker for her............

Sometimes I feel that we set our standards so far beyond that we actually eliminate ourselves from being with someone...........

Yes I'm guilty as charge for doing just that myself.......whoa

See, I really DON'T think it's too much to ask -- I mean, I actually did meet ONE PERSON who fit every one of those qualifications -- only problem was she couldn't make up her mind about whether or not she wanted to BE in a relationship -- so we've been playing yo-yos for the last 10 years....
