Topic: Is a good grocery list important to you? | |
---|---|
Do you like it when they use details like how many and nice adjectives like whole tomatoes instead of coming back home to be told that they don't like stewed tomatoes but all they wrote down was just tomatoes. Or you buy grapes because you see them eating grapes but find out that they don't like seeds in their grapes? Is their an art or is their a book that one might purchase to find out how to buy for a picky eater?

Or do you just give them money to go shopping and wait till they run out of money?

Are you asking if we use grocery lists written by others to do shopping?
I make my own list. |

I like to make my own list when I am shopping for myself. I guess it is because I know what I want. The hard part can be trying to figure out what they want.

If someone is making a list for you to shop by and you don't understand what they want, just ask. Very simple.

Good advice. I found out the hard way. But I am learning. My mistake. I assumed.

I sent my ex to the store one time as
we were going to a cabin in the mountains and would have to feed a lot of people. I asked for a corned beef and didn't check it before packing and going to the cabin, with no stores around. Only to find he had bought one of those wee self-opening cans of corned beef. Cats got fed. Worse, is when you get to the store with your own list, and find you cannot read it..and ask the clerk, and HE can read it. |

I have to have a list when I go to the store. It keeps me from forgetting something and keeps me from buying something I don't really need...........

I always make a list, but 9 times out of 10 my list doesn't make it to the store, nonetheless, I remember most of what I had on it.

I have to have a list when I go to the store. It keeps me from forgetting something and keeps me from buying something I don't really need........... That's what I do as well. I have several lists stored in my blackberry with the stores I frequent (Target, GNC, Raleys, Home Depot, etc). I add to the lists throughout the week - as I find I need certain things - and then I don't forget or buy in excess. I also never go to the store hungry! Living alone is a blessing. I know what I want and I don't have to worry about buying the wrong things. |

I'm a big fan of lists. It helps me remember what I need to do and when. With our lives as busy as they are, it keeps me grounded and on track.

Thanks for the responses. I am begining to think when one is new to a relationship while you are learning about them they are learning about you. Honest feedback can be a good thing. It is hard to remember everything and a good list or an itenary can help one to remember things. I like the check off method from a good inventory. I am trying to pick up on, "We are out of this." And not to be so sensitive. I am thinking of writing down the "We are out of this" stuff and call it a grocery list.

I don't make a grocery list. When I get to the store I just wonder through the whole store checking out every isle and pick what ever sound good. Then before I check out I make sure I grabed some thing for lunch, supper, breakfast, and some thing to drink. Verry simple.

I go to the store, eat as much stuff as I can get away with, and go home.

A 'grocery list' is only a collection of items you think you might want later in the day ...
