Topic: The ultimate purpose in life. | |
---|---|
Now here is the biggest secret of all. If you are wondering what your "purpose" is in this life, I will tell you. It is to find something to do that makes you happy. That is your ultimate and only purpose. Happiness is your purpose. Be happy. That is your purpose. It is so very simple. Yet most people don't have a clue how to be happy or know how to pursue happiness. |

Actually it is Born, Breed, Die.
It is what we do in between that gives life meaning. It either that or God really wanted to eff with us! |

I would AGREE with this but also to say Happy with the peace and harmony of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE around you..
To live and be happy within the harmony of creation. |

The purpose of life is to live.
Sometimes in order to do that you have to sacrifice happiness. |

I would AGREE with this but also to say Happy with the peace and harmony of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE around you.. To live and be happy within the harmony of creation. But why do some people love chaos and drama so much? It is funny how the meaning of life and perspective play so well hand in hand together. One man's apple is another man's orange. (And the Goddess laughs at them because they can't see the Mangos for what they are!) http://www.weebls-stuff.com/songs/mango/ |

That is your ultimate and only purpose. Happiness is your purpose. Be happy. That is your purpose. It is so very simple. Yet most people don't have a clue how to be happy or know how to pursue happiness. Oh yeah, tell me exactly what I want to hear... Or better yet, why don't you tell me I'd be better off more or less. I mean it wouldn't be bad or good, just so, so... like this ------------> (We're sorry, your call can not be completed as dialed. Please try again, as sooner rather than later I might believe you. At least that's what "they" always told me)... |

The purpose of life is to live. Sometimes in order to do that you have to sacrifice happiness. Life and "live" are two different versions of the same word, so your statement does not real have much meaning. You are alive. What is your purpose? To live? If that is true, then you have already fulfilled your purpose. Beyond just living, what is your purpose? Happiness. How do you 'sacrifice happiness?' |

Think of something that makes you happy. Tell me why you can't be happy. |
|

|
To live is to survive.
Sometimes the fight for survival causes pain. Pain is not happiness. |

To live is to survive. Sometimes the fight for survival causes pain. Pain is not happiness. Yes, but what do we fight for beyond just survival? Happiness. |

Happiness means so many DIFFERENT things to so many different people. How do we define such differences?
|
|
|
|
The real question is, what makes you truly happy, is it money, fame, a nice house, a nice car or all?
There are lots of people that have all of these together and they're not happy. So where is happiness? I personally think happiness is within, what you do and what you have doesn’t make you happy, but how you look at what you do and its purpose and what you have and its purpose does bring you happiness. We are created by God, he’s our source of happiness, so the closer we are to him the happier we are. |

Survival is happiness.
A full belly. A warm place to lay your head down. A lack of predators. What more could you ask? |
|
|
|
My purpose is to enjoy my life, which is exactly what I'm doing.

To live is to survive. Sometimes the fight for survival causes pain. Pain is not happiness. If you're living just to live and not enjoying it, perhaps there are changes you can make to allow yourself to be happier and enjoy life. |

Too predictible, if you doubt me... I'd like to see you live without it $$$... Modern society has become almost 'simple folk.' Throw 'em a dollar , and you'd be surprized what they'd do for it.... (don't forget, it's always easier to put it into words, rather than actions.)
I calls it like I sees it... |

Like I said, I like to see you live without it. You're only foolin' yourself! This thread was about the OP and what her purpose in life is. If your purpose is to tell others they won't be happy without money, that's fine. However, if someone works hard and has what they need in life, shouldn't they be able to be happy and enjoy it? |
