while I can't help but be shocked at this assessment "he is d biggest FOOL this generation has ever witnessed." (surely one can find a more suitable fool for this statement"

I am even more disappointed to see that the American education system has now stretched across the Pacific Ocean...wow!

Ah....what a hard lesson for anyone to learn at any age! Not sure if it will make you feel any better but it's one I just learned at the ripe old age of 40! It is very disheartening and disappointing to learn after any amount of time with someone that they were only using you. I believe the worst part is realizing that all you thought and hoped for your life was based on nothing but lies. And also that you never really truly knew the person you were in love with. Definitely the hardest lesson learned in my life so far! BUT...you can't let them win! While it does not seem so now, you are going to be much better off without them! Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the horse. Chalk it up to a painful lesson learned. Unfortunately it is difficult to trust again, but trust you must! Not everyone you meet is a user...when you find someone that truly loves you for you, they will ask for nothing from you in return except to be loved the same. flowerforyou

I just spent a year with a man who I love dearly. The second six months we both took a block of really hard nursing science pre reqs. Class ended last week and he dumped me horribly, saying he only used me for grades. I worked so hard and got all A's...I was stupid and let him copy ALL of my homework and gave him test answers. Now I'm crushed and feel stupid at the same time. Am I the only person who has ever felt this way? :(

If he had to use you to pass the pre reqs, how do you think he's going to do when he has to stand on his own two feet in the advanced classes? He's going to crash and burn hardcore! Trust me. If you don't know the basics, you can't grasp the more difficult stuff. So take comfort in the fact that the dumbarse is screwed in the future.

You however are not! You got burned...happens to the best of us. You're not a fool...you trusted someone with your heart; that alone makes you smarter than most, including me!ohwell

I personally have been used for lots of things...I've been a motel, a maid, a chauffeur, and banks (the monetary kind for withdrawals, the sperm kind for deposits). My solution: spend all my money, buy a truck and a dog to occupy the other seat, and stop interacting with men. I don't get used for anything anymore!

But this makes for a difficult lifestyle, so it's not highly recommended. I'd follow the other people's advice...

I hope your heart heals quickly.flowerforyou

I know I need to forgive him, it'll just take some time. I would give him another chance if he even wanted me, but he doesn't, so that's out the window. I feel anger and sadness all at the same time....I wish I didn't have to see him...then I could heal and forgive him easier.

Forgive??? Have your brother do the Brother thing to him on Sunday as well. I take it he attends the same church? Later today get a hold of your minister, pastor, priest,(whatever) and tell him about your situation and that it would make a lovely sermon. Make sure that he also addresses homeboy in front of everyone about being such a horrid sinner and wicked person and that attending church after doing what he done for absolution of his sin does not grant him forgiveness until HE earns it. make sure your brother also flattens all four tires in the parking lot by removing the tire stem valves. A stem puller can be bought at ANY auto parts store for cheap. Smearing him justifiably in front of the whole community can be rewarding in ways you cannot imagine!

My mom's second husband got caught TWICE cheating on my mother. I wanted to deal with him my way, a load of buckshot to the chest but my brother dealt with it for me, he threw him out of her house at gun point. Instead the Fire Department both he and My mother worked for pressured him to quit. They suddenly all didn't respect him. The local PD screwed with him a lot too. No one in the town she lived in would talk to him except for his lover who the community also pressured into leaving. There is something to be said about wronging someone with a lot of respect in their community especially since word of sheet like this travels FAST!

You should not give forgiveness. It is earned. Until he earns it he is lower than the underside of a pile of snake sheet. I don't buy Christian forgiveness any more. It empowers people to do bad things to others!

Yes I give my guardian angel headaches all the time.

Hind site is 20/20 as the saying goes, you bear responsibility for your broken heart as much as he does actually. You went against your better judgement, and cheated, allowing him to get close to you. You basically opened the door said take advantage of my heart and mind, and open me up for heartbreak. I am not taking his side, because I do agree, what he did was devious and meant to deceive you as well. You are in college and an adult now. This is a new lesson in your college education.
You are a pretty, obviously intelligent, and vibrant looking young lady that I am sure can do much better than a Neandrathal Jock, rich kid or whatever he was anyways.

You are absolutely right, I think that's why I feel so awful! I did it to myself and I know better. I feel like a failure because I let him do everything he did to me....I gave him answers on test, did his part of a project etc. I'm having a hard time looking in the mirror because of it. Thanks for your insight.

concur with the first assessment...to add, bending of the rules sometimes is okay..it happens, flexibility within reason....in this case, not only were the rules bent, you bent...bent way over..the dude not only screwed u, he screwed the class, the system, and everyone else who frowns on this kind of immorality...but hey, who's to judge anyway...maybe there's some merit in what he's doing anyway...if the context was different, he'd be a hero...i.e. nursing -- he's in the wrong profession, really he should be in business school

Yeah he did screw the system, I never thought of it that way. He got a B in microbiology and I got an A, funny thing was that I got yelled at because of it...my reply was...sorry I didn't cheat better for you! Everyone's comments have helped me feel so much better, I don't like talking about this to people who know us both, more problems can arise. So hearing what everyone here has to say, and from their own experiences makes me feel like I'm not alone in this. You're right he should be a dirty attorney lol

you know, part of love is to hand someone the power to destroy it and trusting that they wont. you were taken advantage of and yes, you do share some of the responsibility for that however, he was less than honest and when it comes down to it "he" is the cause not you.

when people show you who they truly are, it is up to you remember it. taking him back would be more of mistake than being fooled by him in the first place. he doesn't deserve to be forgiven and you can get past this without doing so. move forward, but remember who he turned out to be and be more receptive to the same signs in the future.

I spent three years of my life with a woman who just basically used me as a crutch until she found the next guy with sucker written on his forehead. I met her on myspace over three years ago. She gave me a sobb story about how her ex husband was abusive and that he ended up in prison because he was dealing drugs and she begged him to stop and he wouldn't stop and he got caught and she got in trouble because of him and she lost her kids because of it and everything. So me trying to be the night in shining armor took her in and gave her a home, and helped her get her kids back and sober up from a meth addiction. Three years later she met another guy on facebook and took off with him..Oh yeah and i failed to mention that her "ex-husband" is still her husband.

Forgiveness is not what empowers people to do bad things to one another. Each person is free to make their own choices regarding anything in their life. Additionally, Forgiveness and Justice are independent of one another. In a sense forgiveness is my acceptance of their personal freedoms. It does not mean I agree with their choices, simply that I acknowledge that it was their choice to make. Forgiveness allows us to move past wrongs done to us and not dwell in our own misery. Forgiveness is done for the forgiver, not for the forgiven.

just my $.02

As to the question posed, like many others before me... I was used for my paycheck.
