I dont really know that they record the political affiliation of those charged with violence,,,,but on another note,,,

Come on now. Stop arguing semantics. You are much better than that.

When was the last time you saw a conservatively based protest break out in violence??

Do conservatives protest the WTO meetings?? Nope. Do conservatives protest the G6 meetings??? Nope.

Is there almost ALWAYS violence involved in the protests of those things?? Definitely.

I havent heard of the tea party being violent at all, I have heard of instances of people in the party acting out, but havent seen evidence that this is what the party promotes. I think people use generalizations against those they oppose in opinion to avoid the intellectual work of honest and intelligent debate. The same types that call OBama the one, or who call Jesse Jackson a race baitor,,,arent much different than the ones who call tea party members violent,,,,

Oh really, now. It would seem that you don't pay attention to the MSM. If that is the case, then bravo.

BUT..when the health care bill was passed and some vandalism happened...it was blamed on the Tea Party as a whole by the media. Not just a few radicals in the group.

When the N word was allegedly ( since there is STILL no video OR audio evidence of such a thing happening despite a 10,000 dollar reward posted for evidence ) thrown at a bunch of politicians....the Tea Party as a whole was blamed.

Not to mention considering the tactics groups like ACORN used the person yelling 'ni@@er' could very well have been a plant! The DNC fears their power being leveraged from them by popular vote of people who see socialism for what it is. Government was supposed to regulate the free market to protect us from weasels getting into the hen house. It wasn't supposed to be our support and livelihoods.

When everybody works government jobs who is paying who? Taxed for the privilege to work? What sense does that make?

here is where we agree in theory but not in application,,,,often in these threads, particularly the politics thread, the actions and words chosen by INDIVIDUALS become attributed to the group with which they choose to belong, as if that group is the inventor or owner of such behavior and words

in fact, people from all affiliations, religions, regions, cultures,,,etc,,,,, do most of the same things(just for different 'reasons')

Had to go all the way back to '08 for that one.

Not bad.

The point was, violence may not be " politically affiliated ", but it shows up a whole lot more often when the " protest " is based on one set of " values " as opposed to another.
