I just got nugded so I checked out the person's profile. In it, it said to email the person you must be 15-60 yrs old
 Isn't it illegal to date a 15 yr old if your over 18?????!!! I know most of us have seen or heard of TO CATCH A PREDATOR by Chris Hansen!!! Has anyone learned their lesson from that? I worry for my daughter!!! |

A lot pf people put huge age ranges in their profiles, I believe mine says 18 - 90 or something like that. I take it to mean that as far as chatting or being on line friends, the person is open to meeting almost anyone, again for friendship...
I am not familiar with the book you mention but do agree we need to be wary of predators in life as well as online! |

Seamac.........nothing wrong with a wide age range of people to talk to but I just think 15 is disturbing.........18 is legal. Talking to a minor seems shady to me, thats all

I missed the 15 part, my old eyes only saw it as young! But then 30 is young to me too. I agree also that it seems shady and find myself hoping it was an over-site on the part of the person who posted it. |

It all depends upon the state. Some states do take into account that many 18 year olds and 15 year olds attend school together and the age difference is more significance than the biological age itself.
An 18 year old senior, might be interested in a 15 year old freshman without it being a crime. But as far as the underlying sentiment.. I tend to steer clear of those thirty something folks who have on their profiles an interest in 18 year olds,,, |

This person is 23.....18 and up would be okay but he is not in high school!! I hope it was a typing error |

Hummmmmmmmm soooooooooo why not use the system if it is a profile from here and let Admin make sure it gets adjusted. Since you must be 18 to have a profile on this site.
Does it bother me to see such things posted yes but.......unless it is reported then nothing can be done..... And words fall upon death ears......

If anyone's to blame, it's Mingle2. They're the ones that didn't code the software to have 18 as the minimum number. So until that changes, people can put down that they want to date 7 year-olds if they want to.

Hummmmmmm you can not code what one writes within their profiles............The site is for 18 and above only and if any member is caught that is not 18 within the site and the only way that can be determined is if they actually tell it themselves. Then that profile is banned..........Sooooooooo that is not a Mingle issue that can be fixed from the get go... People sign up and lie about their age... Therefore if someone puts within their profile that they want to date someone under the legal age how is that Mingles fault? Looks like to me the members that see it and does not report it would be helping this member along.......So why not step up to the plate and help the sites keep the rif raf out?? It is a problem that should be brought to the attention of Admin or a Mod in order for them to correct the problem and to determine what to do with the situation. |
