Well, seriously I did have mine set to I think 0-100. Then all the young guys like 18-20's were emailing me. I now have it set to 35-100. The reason I had it set from 0-100 is so anyone that wanted to contact me could. But, those youngsters just won't give up!!!

At one time my motto was, 18 to 80. Blind, cripple, or crazy. If they can't walk, I'll drag 'em.

I just got nugded so I checked out the person's profile. In it, it said to email the person you must be 15-60 yrs old Isn't it illegal to date a 15 yr old if your over 18?????!!! I know most of us have seen or heard of TO CATCH A PREDATOR by Chris Hansen!!! Has anyone learned their lesson from that? I worry for my daughter!!! kacie, the young lady in chapter two of the book you mention...was a wonderful young lady whom i knew personally. i work with her aunt, and she died a couple miles from my home. i encourage everyone to read the book. i made my children read every bit of it...before even considering letting them online, supervised. that said, mingle2 only allows adults on the site, so no matter what a user's preference is, he won't be hooking up with kiddos here.

LULU I hope you are right! There HAVE been a couple who get through occasionally, but they are generally zapped within a very short window of time. Should you ever question a profile, please report it through the "REPORT THIS USER" link in their profile.

As Lori points out above, please do report those profiles. We have the tools to check these things out. If i may digress a moment...Sometimes mistakes are made in filling out profile info. (so it is not an automatic assumption that the person is a bad person) I have seen hundreds and hundreds of profiles, with erroneous information. To explain this further, i have seen inactive profiles, where the user has not returned in months. Why? Most likely, because the gender settings were wrong, and the person felt as if the site wasn't working for them. I think, many times, a persons haste to get started, causes small (but critical) details to be overlooked. If you see a questionable profile, please help us out by reporting it. If anyone's to blame, it's Mingle2. They're the ones that didn't code the software to have 18 as the minimum number. So until that changes, people can put down that they want to date 7 year-olds if they want to. Hummmmmmm you can not code what one writes within their profiles............The site is for 18 and above only and if any member is caught that is not 18 within the site and the only way that can be determined is if they actually tell it themselves. Then that profile is banned..........Sooooooooo that is not a Mingle issue that can be fixed from the get go... People sign up and lie about their age... Therefore if someone puts within their profile that they want to date someone under the legal age how is that Mingles fault? Looks like to me the members that see it and does not report it would be helping this member along.......So why not step up to the plate and help the sites keep the rif raf out?? It is a problem that should be brought to the attention of Admin or a Mod in order for them to correct the problem and to determine what to do with the situation. Are you sure? Isn't it a "if-then" line of code in the software? It should be set to have a minimum value when accepting an entered in range of a user's age preference. So if 7 is entered, the program would not accept the input and remind the user to please re-enter an age range between 18 and 99. It would keep doing this until the user complies and enters in a value of 18 or greater for the low end value of the range. It's not a problem I could fix, but I bet they have programmers there that can. The site has been modified and patched before, they can do it again.
