I would and I could,,,go ANYWHERE,,that I felt I had a chance for that lady to really fall in love with me... WEEKENDS are COOL,,but THATS NOT LOVE,,,lol,so as to FIND LOVE. YES,,,I would go within the STATES,,anywhere.... AND,,I would TAKE WITH ME,,,,,MANY SMILES!!!! MANY!!!!!!!!!! Terr, man, you have that rebel-adventure spirit, just like me. And like me, you will soon find one hell of a woman. Believe in the miracle, it's gonna happen to you soon, my brother. Erica and I are both praying that you find the One. And if it isn't, at least it will be the next one. |

Could someone actually define ' long distance '??? How far away does one have to be for it to be considered a " long distance " relationship?? More than two hours drive time??? More than a three hour flight?? I guess most people are considering "long distance" to be any area out of their comfort zone. My bf and I met on here... and we were over 2500 miles apart. But if you really click with someone, distance is only a number... pretty much what most people say about age... |

But if you really click with someone, distance is only a number
haha add a lot of zeros to that number. what if you click with someone who's so far away that each return flight costs thousands of dollars? |

but then it ceases to remain long distance!

haha add a lot of zeros to that number. what if you click with someone who's so far away that each return flight costs thousands of dollars? Well I would say that a decision would have to be made... should you stay, or should you go? Do I want to be with this person or do they want to be with me? I decided, and made the necessary preparations to be able to be where I wanted to be. Long distance is by no means the most convenient... but I would have to say that I would do it all over again for this person in my life now. |

but then it ceases to remain long distance! Well I would hope that one doesn't plan on having the long distance thing for ever... I think it helps to have some kind of plan to eventually be together. |

Well, chicks around where I live are "mental", so me thinks I will do an LDR. I am beginning to like the benfits of it.

I actually prefer LDRs because I like my space.
One time things got serious enough for someone to make a move, and he did to California from Tenn. We stayed together 6 years, and it was a great relationship. LDRs work with certain personalities. |

My LDR is working out just fine. Sometimes it's hard when I'm having a bad day and I'd like more than a voice on the other end of the phone. But, it won't be like this forever so I can wait.

but then it ceases to remain long distance! Isn't that kinda the idea??? LMAO well no, not really, not for me. like melody, i like my own time and i am usually happiest when there's a pleasant mix of being together, and not being together. however, it seems there's a big difference between what i refer to as long distance and what others do. robin and i are long distance. we're about 1,200 hundred miles (3 days of driving) and close to a grand when we fly. if we could somehow shorten that gap to the same country and a couple hundred of miles apart, i'd be in my absolute glory. |

With some the LDR works with some it does not. I have tried it in the past it worked for a year and a half then went south when he moved. He was totally different when he moved to Texas.
I'm one I like my space as well but I do like the companionship of another more then once every couple of months. For me what works is dating someone that has their own place and I have mine...... At least for a while I would rather have one that lives within the area so we can go do things together and not always missing out. As I said for some that is not a problem but for me I want them closer then a phone call... But...........I would not totally eliminate LDR's just not what I'm looking for...... |

Major benefit to LDRs, you can take a vacation and be with the one you love, at the same time. It's a win-win!

We stayed together 6 years, and it was a great relationship. LDRs work with certain personalities. I like my own space as well... unfortunately there were other issues that interfered with my LDR. His ex wife being baby mama drama was so consuming (time, money, energy, emotionally) for him to have to deal with that it effected us being able to see each other. |
