What does Nudging mean exactly? Well to us women it means you guys like our pictures or something in our profile but not enough to actually send us a message. Is that really what you want tell us? If you don't know how to make the first move, don't do it with a nudge unless you really don't expect a response back. Nudging = absolutely no effort what so ever ... just saying.
I know not getting responses to your emails sucks but at least you know you tried 
(Does not apply to people you are already in contact with UNLESS this is your only means of communicating with them) |

Hummmmmmmmm to me I see it as they nudge ya first to see if you will in fact nudge them back. More or less telling them you may be interested in them.
But............now if all they do is the nudge then I will finally totally ignore it. All it is for is more of and ice breaker to some before they make the effort of actually sending that first e-mail. Some figure if they nudge you and you nudge them back then they will send a e-mail. For most likely they will get a response back... |

Well, I'm sure people are tired of getting the first messages that have only "Hey how are ya?" in them. The reason people send those messages is probably due to the fact they are tired of putting honest work into a message for it to only go unnoticed, or ignored. A "nudge" is a quick ice breaker, if returned, I'm sure you'd get better messages from people. If not, well then I don't know.

I will send a hug if I read them in a forum and they sound DOWN,,or a kick just to be saying hello,,many different reasons for me,,but I think there cool...and take them from others as just a 'HEY'.
and don't look very deep into them at all...just a notice and a HI!  HI

I think nudging is a nice icebreaker & sometimes when I nudge someone back I'll get an email. I see nothing wrong with a little nudge!!
