So how many have actually met someone that was famous in one way or the other. Now I'm not talking just seeing them in concert. Who have you actually accidentally or even lucked into meeting to the point you actually was able to shake their hand or at least a few words with them?........................surprised

Tell us your story about your moment with fame..............whoa

How it happened and where inquiring minds want to know??????????

My ex brother in law was, is lifelong friends with Tony Danza, they went to college together in Iowa. When I lived back east we went to his Atlantic City show (which sucked actually ) and partied with him after. George Thorogood was doing a concert in Missoula Montana....he came to the bar where I worked and we had an after hours party. That was a blast.
They were both awesome coolie people.

I got on a elevator with my brother. Al Sharpton was already on it. I was like "Oh! I know you- you're , uh, uh?" My brother says "Al Sharpton". I started laughing, although he was NOT pleased at all.
Another time, in my early 20's we (girlfriends) snuck up to Kenny Rogers floor. He got off a different elevator and one of my girlfriends- who weighed anout 175 lbs, jumped on him, wrapping her legs around him screaming "I love you Kenny" Poor guy, he looked at me, I was smiling and shrugged my shoulders. No big deal to me, they're just people with alot of money.

Well, I just have to throw this out there for the guys on here....I assisted a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader with her shopping needs at my last store. She was nice and very appreciative. I also worked with some moderately famous artists when I worked in an art gallery some years back and have met a couple of musicians as well...Michael English and Carmen.

Rosan Arnold (formerly Rosan Barr), painted her Studio in El Segundo. Almost ran right into her with four gallon cans of paint in my hands. Never talked to her at all.

Tina Turner. Delivered lumber to her house in Monterrey CA when I worked for High Quality Hardwood Flooring. Absolutely the coolest person I ever met for a celebrity.

Kim Katrell, Hardwood flooring job with HQHF. Total airhead.

Loretta Swit. TOTAL B TCH! same as above.

Elton John. I was a baggage handler at LAX and handled his baggage. Had no clue who he was except he looked familiar until he brought up who he was. Real nice guy.

Bono of U2 at a concert in Anaheim backstage after the concert. I was working doing steel and tearing the stage down when he shown up. Spun out heroin addict! He was not all there when he wanted to meet us.

The band Great White. I did a brief stint as a rodie for the Regulators. Great White was one of the bands. Ran into them during set up. They were ***** and totally into themselves!

Laars of the Bullet Boys. Hung out with the Regulators. Family man and down to earth but on stage has a different persona.

Axle Rose. I was working on the house next door to his Malibu house. Total DICK!

Mr. T. I was working on a house in Venice Beach and they were filming near by. One of the guys in the crew spotted Mr. T and called out to him. he stormed up to us telling us to go away and he was not signing any autographs as well as talking some serious smack. Funny thing was he was trying to intimidate someone who was half his size and I was not buying it. I wanted to scrap on him but I got dragged back by a saner member of our work crew. The man who dragged me off wanted to kick Mr. T's *** himself.

Dennis Hopper, had no clue who he was when I ran into him at the golf course in Palos Verdes. Really nice guy!

Oger! Worked out at the Hermosa Fitness in Hermosa Beach. Really nice guy. He was actually surprised when I refused to bug him during his workout. I worked for celebrities before. I don't get all happy when I run into them like tourists do.

Not anyone that the average Joe knows.. But.. I'm friends with the band The Tossers, and 2 of the guys from Disturbed used to drink at my old corner bar.

And one time I chaffeured and pulled security for one of the bigwigs from IBM. I got 500 bucks for 8 hours, so he must have been important.

Oh.. almost forgot. I was stationed in Germany with Sergeant Westmoreland, the Grandson of General Westmoreland.

Where do I start? Well, back in 1987 I met and talked with Jimmy Boeheim (SU basketball coach), and Rony Seikaly (SU player later with the Miami Heat) they ate dinner in a restaurant I worked at, and I served their table. I met former Nuggets coach Bernie Bickerstaff at an airport shuttle company I used to work at and brought him to the airport. I met former coach, Dan Issel "the missile" at DIA while we were both waiting for a flight. He wore his trademark blazer and sneakers. I met legendary Jazz saxophonist Nelson Rangell in person, twice, once at a hotel I worked at, and another time during an intermission during a concert. I met Armin Shimerman who played Quark on DS9 in person at a Star Con convention in Denver. I met Tom Wopat(Luke Duke) in person and a chat once at the old barn theater in Augusta, MI for a performance of "Oklahoma." I have also met and played blackjack with Gary Dourdan (Warrick of CSI) at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas. That's all I can remember right now anyway.happy

Hummmm well for me my first time was when the movie Alien came out in 1979 went to go see it at the old Camp Bowie Theater on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth,Texas.

I had went in got my drink & was sitting there watching the first advertisements come on when suddenly they shut the movie off and turned on all the lights.

What few of us was in the theater that night all turned around to see what was up it was a slow night and only maybe 40 were scattered about.

As we looked up to the Balcony we seen what the reason was for stopping the show in order to restart it for in walked the Bee Gees.

Even though we did not get up and actually talk to them I thought it was pretty cool just to know I actually got to watch the movie with them......bigsmile

I have forgotten a few.. I babysat Jesse jackson when he was locked up in the jail where I used to work, and I also babysat two serial killers, a few mob hitmen, and another 30 guys off Death Row in Illinois.

And I used to go to an archery shop in Tinley Park, Il.. (my hometown) owned by Freddie Bear.. Ted Nugent and he were good friends, Ted even wrote a song by that name.
