At least seven people, including some from Michigan, have been arrested in raids by a FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as part of an investigation into an Adrian-based Christian militia group, a person familiar with the matter said.

The suspects are expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Detroit on Monday.

On Sunday, the FBI confirmed that federal law enforcement agents were conducting activities in Washtenaw and Lenawee counties over the weekend in connection to Hutaree, a Christian militia group. FBI Special Agent Sandra Berchtold told The Detroit News the federal warrants in the case are under court seal and declined further comment.

Sources have said the FBI was in the second day of raids around the southeastern Michigan city of Adrian that are connected to a militia group, known as the Hutaree, an Adrian-based group whose members describe themselves as Christian soldiers who are preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

Mike Lackomar, of Michiganmilitia.com, said both The Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia and the Michiganmilitia.com are not involved in the investigation and have not been contacted by federal authorities.

Lackomar said he heard from other militia members that the FBI targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations.

“Last night and into today the FBI conducted a raid against homes belonging to the Hutaree. They are a religious cult. They are not part of our militia community,” he said.

The website for Hutaree says that it is “preparing for the end time battles to keep the testimony of Jesus Christ alive.”

The group’s logo is a cross with the initials CCR, Colonial Christian Republic. In one of its videos, a group of men in military gear take down a burning United Nations flag and replace it with their flag, which has a cross.
[...]

On the Hutaree website, it warns of an anti-Christ. “As christians we all are a part of the Souls of the Body of Christ, the one true church of Christ. Not any specific man made building or any man controlled organization. This is the belief of the Hutaree soldier, as should the belief of all followers in Christ be. We believe that one day, as prophecy says, there will be an Anti-Christ. All christians must know this and prepare, just as Christ commanded.”

This is laughable.

The country has never moved out of the 15th century??

Really??

So people standing up for their freedoms ( even though they do so in the wrong ways ) is nothing more than basic barbarism?

You think we have a Feudalism based society?? You think we should have a King running the country?? Perhaps Obama would fit the bill for you.

Should everyone just sit down and shut up?? Would that bring the country into the 21st century??

Is that what the world should be in the 21st century??

" Do as we say because you no longer know what's best for yourself. "

Sorry. Things haven't been that way in the 200+ years of this country. Why should it start now?

Stop taking what I say out of context. I DID specify that they were doing it in the wrong ways.

The point to that sentence was that I was being facetious.

I do admit that it does kinda negate the second sentence.

I SHOULD have said, " that hasn't been the way it's SUPPOSED to work ".

Considering that the "law of the land" is the law that the people place into effect to help themselves and those other humans who cannot help themselves or make correct decisions because of circumstance or whatever act "correctly" and receive the correct "respect" from others.

Meaning that we create (vote) laws that determine what is best for all.

So to see people complain about this is actually hilarious because they will be the first to want to uphold a law that is for the good of all in their eyes for example gun laws.

You can't have it one way and not the other since they are all the exact same. If you want the government to uphold the laws that allow guns then you have to accept that the government can place other laws to "help" others and yourself to "act right". Also if there is a benefit to the gun or religion laws then there will be benefits to all other laws in different areas of citizens lives.

As for the religious militias in this country, they are no different then what we call terrorists in other countries. So how much latitude should we give American terrorists?

Rather odd to see you say this considering that you are the one that wants to allow all the illegals to just become citizens because " they really didn't do anything wrong " because our nation's border is an " imaginary line " yet have serious problems with someone walking into your house and taking up residence because your property line is no less imaginary.

Can ya see the irony here??

So now you are trying to be funny with the ridiculousness of your posts right?

That made no sense.

And has little relevance to the OP or my post in general.

Showing hypocritical thinking for what it truly is...

That's always funny.

My posts are no more " ridiculous " than yours are.

Much less so the vast majority of the time.

well, theres no accounting for what some believe. Would the anti christ even be susceptible to mortal weapons?...smh?

I believe myself as a part of God moreso than mans machine and I believe an anti christ will come,, I just dont believe there is a MILITANT way to prepare,,,,I actually think the preperation will be Gods ,,,but Im off topic..

these types are a minority and not the average 'christian' at all. people should take just as much notice of them as they do of those who threaten uprisings for political beliefs,,,but people shouldnt brush everyone involved in religion or politics with the same brush because of a few

There is probably about a million or so people in this country armed to the teeth with weapons and completly nuts.I'm sure it will only get worse as 2012 approaches as many people think this is the end of the world.

These types of people know they are being watched and many of them have already been infiltrated by one government agency or another.

I can't comprehend why they continue to break the law, knowing when they do, they'll be arrested..

" ... These types of people ... " ... ? How about including some of the LIBWHACK fringe of "these types of people" in this grouping - you know, 'these types of people' like the ones Bill Ayers hung out with ... a little group called the Weathermen (a/ka/a 'Weather Underground'). How 'bout types like 'Earth First' - the group that loved to put ceramic spikes in trees for loggers to hit with their chainsaw ... or 'Greenpeace'? Pretty selective in that use of 'these types', ain'tcha ... ? "These types of people" ... right ...
