Actually I have a very good friend who workss for one of the Senator's here in Nevada and she said 90% of the calls coming into the office were for the Senator to vote no. That is a large number. The majority of American's don't want this bill. It was proven in the several elections Republicans won in 09 and the ones we will win the November.

That's just one Senator. The opposite is going on in my area.

OK everyone, settle down! here are the facts that people have going over their heads. First and foremost this is what happens when you have deregulation. Banks and insurance are not regulated by government standards. They are regulated by industry standards. Banks DO NOT COMPETE! They are organized to act as one body under the guise of Regulation! INDUSTRY REGULATION! Industries act on their own behalf and that of their share holders. Nobody else!

Next! The legal system is also largely to blame. Doctors have to dodge law suits all the time for BS reasons. Tort reform is a must! Suing a doctor for dispensing aspiring is STUPID and should not be allowed unless the doctor knew the patient was allergic to it. Also the whole legal system needs a revamping more than Health care! NUFF SAID!

Now for welfare states! CA is really starting to feel the pinch of being a Welfare State. Especially since it is being extended to those who do not deserve it. Illegal immigrants are bleeding us like Leeches! They do not pay into the system they are getting benefits from. they are taking benefits from people here who really need it. "No child left behind?" as long as mommy and daddy pay their cut for our system to educate their children. Not from this country? Become a citizen and then be welcome otherwise GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM! I am so sick and tired of Mexicans coming here and bashing America while their country is a toilet!

Now for the "poor People" who think America owes them a living! I wish I could flip them the bird, OH WAIT A MINUET!

Yep I had to say it. I am so sick and tired of hearing about how "I am entitled to this," and "I am entitled to that!" We need a system that cannot get abused by parasitic people! I am sick and tired of seeing the miserable poor people on TV with BIG flat panel LG TVs in their living rooms! I work my *** off and I don't got one yet! Why is it so many poor people are so damn FAT anyways??? What is up with that? I bet they would loose weight if you hid the TV remote!

Seriously? I happened to follow the new last week when Capitol Hill recvieved so many calls and emails from people who wanted their representatives to vote against the bill that it dropped the systems.

You dont understand, we don't hate poor people, we want health care for everyone homeless, single moms, single dads, kids, senior citizens etc. The problem is THIS bill is not it and it is unconstitutional.

Forcing people to buy health insurance is unconstitutional. What they are proposing can't and wont work and not to mention it wont take effect for years anyways. They are using a huge smokescreen here.

That line of thinking would would make Social Security unconstitutional too.

Some of the issues start immediately. This one for example:


PRESCRIPTION DRUGS: Gradually closes the "doughnut hole" coverage gap in the Medicare prescription drug benefit that seniors fall into once they have spent $2,830. Seniors who hit the gap this year will receive a $250 rebate. Beginning in 2011, seniors in the gap receive a discount on brand name drugs, initially 50 percent off. When the gap is completely eliminated in 2020, seniors will still be responsible for 25 percent of the cost of their medications until Medicare's catastrophic coverage kicks in.

Sad to say..there is a fair amount of truth in what you've stated.

Single moms and dads working their ***** off is a FAR cry from the welfare recipients who sit around getting high ( by selling off food stamps for cash ) and popping out kids.

Boy, you see things so totally! Yeah? Why not take up a gun and kill all of the poor! COME ON! Wake the heck up! There is a big difference between a mom and dad who work minimum wage jobs vs. a pair of drug addicts who are "Homeless and hungry!" as well as those here illegally willing to work at sub minimum wage getting WIC, welfare, free medial. Let me make this abundantly clear! If they are poor what the hell are they doing with Big Screen TVs? HOW CAN THEY EVEN AFFORD THEM? IS there some kind of government program guaranteeing me a 52" Sony plasma screen? People who are poor but willing to put up the effort to do the right thing are respectable. Needing help here and there is also not a shame. Living off of it? PLEASE! MY momma raised me to be ashamed of needing help like that!

Where is the real grass roots efforts to help I keep hearing about? Under a pile of fertilizer? I bet that is why Obama Care smells so much like S@%t.

Come on. I am draconian but not Stalinistic! Lets all get into a real big war and draft everyone below a certain income level and send them off to fight! That was tried in Viet Nam! These days our military is all Volunteer!

Look at how much of an armpit most Southern States have degraded to. Why? Appeasement since the Civil War! Entire states suckle at the government teat while other states have to prop them up financially through the fed. CA floats 48% percent of the Nation's bill! How about Alabama? Louisiana? Arkansas? Mississippi? Texas supplies a lot more money than all four of those states combined! What do they offer? Coal, Timber, Ag? What real industries do they have besides Resource production? TOURISM? Tennessee actually has car factories! On top of that they also have other industries besides resource production. Why is it these four states boast whopping unemployment numbers, higher poverty indexes, and greater welfare dependency then their neighboring states? A lack of opportunity? or is it the corruption plaguing these states and labor unions drove out the industry? Maybe they also lack work ethic! I have heard southerners from those states complain about that very thing and they came here to find work!

I do not hate poor people because they are poor. I hate poor people who would prefer to make a living off of those who do work without providing anything other than an open hand twice a month. I would have a tough time not punching someone in the mouth for singing the song, "the world owes me a living," anywhere I could hear it. I just hate parasites something fierce.

That's a das truth. When I was doing Loss Prevention for the grocery store( I was in plain clothes and acted like a costomer) I was constantly approached asked by various customers with food stamp cards if I would be interested i having them buy my food for me and I would pay them cash $0.50 or $0.25 on the dollar. It happened at least 3 or 4 times a day, and per store we had at least 40 cases a month we were working with the local law enforcement on that were related to food stamp fraud.

Half of the time the crooks will even tell you its for drugs, cigarettes and alcohol!

I honestly think she means well, as do a lot of people who want this bill to pass. I just think that a lot of them are blinded by the hype and smoke screen.
