Isiah 7:14
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us').

I guess its always an issue of interpretation. I do agree we are not to worship Christ however, we are only to worship God and love Christ.

according to Isiah Jesus isn't the Messiah or the Christ ...the Messiah name will be Immanuel ..Jesus's name was Yeshua

Immanuel (which means "God is with us")....points to God as being omnipresence not that Immanuel will be God

Christianity as it seem is based on the wrong Messiah, but if it still brings people to God then what is wrong with that, the problem arises when The Trinity places a human name Jesus above God or on the same level as God ....

this makes it possible that a human can be God and opens the door for a human to claim to be God and this is how The Antichrist will come to power

Christianity itself could be responsible for the prophecy of Revelations in which the Antichrist armies will be comprised of Christians following the Antichrist they believe is a human God

how do I get THAT job?

just tattoo 666 on your scalp

666? But the number in the Dead Sea Scrolls was 616. 666 was a mistranslation. One of many, I might add.

Christianity was lost when science revealed the truth and exposed the Biblical myth to be obviously false.

The masses are relentless in their need to believe in a "Fatherly Image" human-like godhead. They created Zeus, Odin, Thor, Yahweh, and a host of others.

Not many people today still believe in Zeus. Why not? Well, for one reason that particular mythology had Zeus living on Mt. Olympus. Well, as mankind became more technological it became more and more clear that no Gods live on Mt. Olympus.

Similarly, Gods like Thor who were believed to toss lightening bolts at people were dismissed once science discovered how lightening actually works.

What most people are in denial of today is that science has also clearly shown that Yahweh (the God of the Bible) can't possibly be true. According to the Bible mankind was responsible for bringing imperfections and death into the world. In fact, that's the whole foundational principle of the Bible and the very reason that mankind is in hot water with God in the first place and so desperately needs to repent.

Yet, we know now that disease, imperfection, and death existed long before mankind ever came onto the scene. Thus the very premise of the Bible falls flat on its face. The book is clearly a manmade lie, and obviously not the word of any jealous Godhead who's peeved at mankind and demands repentance.

Moreover, the whole story was silly in its own right. The Bible had God betting with Satan. What kind of a God would make bets with a demon? The whole book of Job is utterly absurd. That should have been enough right there to dismiss the religion.

And then the whole Jesus thing is truly insane. That's actually a take-off from the origional Judaism anyway. The Jews didn't even buy into that one. This Jesus fellow didn't even agree with the rules and laws of Yahweh, that's why he was crucified. He put himself above that God and denounced the ways of Yahweh. There's no way that Jesus could have been the son of Yahweh. That makes absolutely no sense at all.

So as far as I'm concerned the religion should have been classified as "just another silly myth" a very long time ago. It's been spreading nothing but ignorance, bigotry, and war ever since (In Jesus' Name no less) and it continues to do so to this very day. In fact, it's not just Christianity, it's the whole Judeo-Christian-Muslim thing. They are all the SAME RELIGION! It's all the same myth just twisted in different demented ways.

Quite sad actually. (IMHO)

I personally don't see it "spreading" charity. There may be some organizations that do charity work in the name of Jesus, but usually they spread the bigotry whilst they do the charity work. They just don't think of it as bigotry is all.

The very idea of of convinging people that they have fallen from grace from their creator and are in need of repentance is ignorant, IMHO. The very idea of teaching people that only those who have accepted Jesus as their "savior" are in favor with god is bigotry, IMHO. And to stand behind those two ideals as being the "word of God" is what often leads to war (or even conflict on small personal scales). So even those who believe they are doing "charity work" are often spreading ingnorance, bigotry and war, even in the midst of their act of charity.

So I'm not impressed in the slightest. I'd rather join an atheistic charity group if I was going to do charity work. There's no need to believe in a god to care about your fellow humans.

the dispute was about the statement that ALL religion spreads is hatred and bigotry,, when indeed it spreads charity and love....

Hi, Arc. I've been hanging out on a songwriters forum having lots of fun. I've taken the leap and bought some recording equipment and some musical instruments. I'm turning my home into a recording studio.
