I worked in a psychiatric facility that had group therapy for sexual anorexia. The premise was that when you deny yourself sex you have other underlying issues much like the anorexic and food, and of course you need help to become sexual. seriously? how sad,, more proof that the psychological industry will label ANYTHING an illness if they can make some money I agree, this was the only facility I worked in that had this particular group. They also provided therapy for sexual addiction. |

i decided to hold off on sex til i meet the one person i truly love with all my heart when i was 14 and am still celebate sure there are times when i want to have sex but those are the times i just keep my mind occupied with something other than sex and if that dosen't work then a cold shower works everytime.

Celibacy does take restraint and 'won't power'. Hats off to anyone that does it while battling the urge to not. I however live only one life and would rather enjoy every moment and never pass up on the opportunity to enjoy the bestest feeling in the world. Waiting for a long time before getting it on is a waste of time for me. Can't improve on that :-) |

Wow. This is very admirable. I thank God for the sexual revolution, but maybe things got a little out of hand, what with kids having sex on school buses and tweens having "friends with benefits". As for adults, to each his/her own. Sexual anorexia is an interesting concept, given that there is a name for the opposite "syndrome": sexual addition. If one's sexual needs are not being met, perhaps one finds an alternative outlet. However, I don't think anything can replace GOOD sexual intimacy.

Sorry to prove your groups theory wrong, and not you personally, so please dont take this as an attack on you but I was celibate from May 27th 1989 - Sept 13 2001.
It wasn't because I wasn't sexual, sensual or anything. I was just more into my 68 Camaro, my 4x4, my G-SXR, and doing a lot of driving around neighboring states and having fun with my toys. I will say I'm happy to say my sex drive peaked when I hit in June of '07, now I'm twice as sexual and sensual as I probably would have been. Throw in some freakishness to spice it up...lol. I'm glad it worked out for me. It's going to be here for a while.

It's caught from the air literally, if some one sneezes or coughs and you are close enough the virus will enter your respiratory system. Wear a mask. Nothing to do with sex.
