I think his comments were written by one person , edited by another and approved by a third. None of whom were Tiger himself, so in the end I don't think we heard his true comments and seriously doubt we ever will. well i think it is just his private life, but i understand why he
felt the need to make a public apology.

since he is a public figure - many fans, supporters, employers
would be expecting some sort of explanation or apology. if he
does not proffer one then it appears he is not contrite. of course,
when he does try to apologize then it is inadequate. so he is in
a no-win situation. so he goes for the least loss. a sort of lesser
evil.

but it is still inadequate. as it should be after such behavior.

too bad. it is just a shame for everyone. no happy endings here....
