We have to look at this in the proper perspective.

#1 There is no need to attack Iran.

#2 Iran talks the talk about Israel and West because they have to.

#3 Iran knows attacking Israel will lead to their destruction.

#4 Iran knows that even the Europeans won't stand by and allow them to start a war with Israel.

#5 Iran's actual goal is to become relevant in the Arab world.

#6 Iran's actual sworn enemy is the Monarchy of Saudi Arabia.

#7 Iran's eventual goal is take over the Muslim holy sites from the Wahhabi Saudis.

Such a loving christian attitude..."lets go bomb a nation".

What would Jesus do??? spock

Kill Allah?

Wouldn't that be killing his father....just sayin.
I'm not a Christian or a Muslim..don't matter to me.
I just thought Christianity taught love, forgiveness...hummmm

What would Jesus do?You think Jesus would want all the Christians to stretch out their necks and be slaughtered in mass numbers or fight back?I can think of one of the bible verses where he does say "Fight" with out even thinking about it.

Jesus said, "My kingdom does not belong to this world. If it belonged to this world, then my servants would fight so that I would not be given to the Jewish leaders. But my kingdom is from another place."

This is a battle of good vs evil.Christians have always fought evil including killing those who are trying to kill us.God has always proteced us and urges us to do the same.Christians don't duck tail and run.We stand tall right to the very end.

Christians have always killed those trying to kill us? I guess Christ didnt set a good example then,,,,,

I disagree with your logic on this one , Christ wasnt about death he was about life

Ms Harmony I really don't want to turn this into a religious debate.I know we often disagree because you like to think of only life, forgiveness, and you can have the cake and eat it too attitude when it comes to the bible.Jesus was about life but not life for everyone and only people who believe in him.Do you think Jesus cared at all about those people who died who did not believe in him?Quite the opposite. Why you also completly disregard the old testament and Gods laws and rules is beyond me.

I really don't think I need to waste time showing you all the stories of Gods wrath and destruction and the people he has killed over the years. You will not find any stories of Jews or Christians just sitting around while God or Jesus watches them slaughtered in mass numbers.Every story you read concerning life or death for Gods people he has either commanded them to fight, protected them,or he killed their enemy. There is also no bible verses saying we should not defend ourselves,to surrender,or to be murdered. It is best to turn the other cheek like Jesus said but clearly when it comes to life and death situations if it is either them or us dying in a battle it should be them and not us.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight

He said fight. He did not say surrender.

Jesus was not sent to re-write the entire old testament and he even said "I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets,".With that said ignoring the old testament is a big mistake.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34)

Ms harmony clearly Jesus is saying that he is going to seperate the good from the evil in this verse using a sword to seperate those two.

According to the Bible, God takes complete responsibility for all death—not just death due to natural disasters, diseases, old age,or…holy war. From the fall of man in Genesis 3 onward, “the wages of sin is death.” Whether it was the flood in Noah's day or the raining of fire on Sodom & Gomorrah.God as Creator has the first and last word on it all.

Last but not least are we fighting evil with evil,or evil against Good? Were those other Wars against Hitler and other countries against Gods will because we killed?I don't think so.If we just sat around peacefully like you said and was mass murdered there wouldn't be any Christians left in this world would there? With out any Christians there would be nobody left to take to heaven in the final days and the bible says there would be so many people ascending to heaven in the second coming you couldn't count that high. This would make the bible false.

A little history about the crusades.
* Islam spread far from its birthplace in the modern nation of Saudi Arabia. By AD1095, Muslim territory included land where Jesus Christ lived. Christians warriors of the era believed Christians, not Muslims, should control their holy lands.
* The Crusades were a series of wars initiated by Christians to win back their holy lands from Muslims.

at the same time the Muslim armies were conquering their way across northern Africa and then up into Spain. The Moors conquered most of Spain and Portugal.

and up through Turkey into the Balkans and conquered their way as far as what later became Yugoslavia. They's why there were Muslims for the Bosnians and Serbians to persecute oh and they made it all the way into Chechnya

everybody was conquering everybody else. It wasnt just the Crusaders

Just look what happens when a country with no respect for human life gets nuclear capabilities. Look at all the countries have actually used those weapons. Hypocrisy anyone?

History lesson anyone?

Only one nation has ever used nuclear weapons in war.

The United States.

Other nations which have 'used' these weapons did so in testing only.

true and true

if Iran gets nukes their biggest opponent will be the Saudis

but really, to simplify it, their biggest opponents will be the Sunnis

that split hasnt been resolved yet

Sunni and Shī‘ah are the two major denominations of Islam. The demographic breakdown between the two groups is difficult to assess and varies by source, but a good approximation is that 85% of the world's Muslims are Sunni, and 15% are Shī‘ī, with most Shī‘īs belonging to the Twelver tradition and the rest divided between several other groups. Shī‘īs make up the majority of the population in Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan and Bahrain, and they are the largest religious group in Lebanon. Sunnis are a majority in other Muslim communities in South East Asia, China, South Asia, Africa and the rest of the Arab world.

#1 There is no need to attack Iran.

The need is to prevent the worlds foremost state sponsor of terrorism (Iran) from developing nuclear weapon technology with which it can threaten everybody - particularly in a radical theocracy which advocates martyrdom.

#2 Iran talks the talk about Israel and West because they have to.

No they don't. We have offered to talk peace with them many times.
They choose to not act in a peaceful way.

#3 Iran knows attacking Israel will lead to their destruction.

It is certainly not clear that they believe this but even if they did they could attack anyway based on Ahmadinejad's statements and religious fervor.

#4 Iran knows that even the Europeans won't stand by and allow them to start a war with Israel.

So far there have only been weak sanctions and lack of unanimity.

#5 Iran's actual goal is to become relevant in the Arab world.

They want power and many in Iran and her offshoots have stated that they want to Islamicize the world.

#6 Iran's actual sworn enemy is the Monarchy of Saudi Arabia.

It would appear they have many sworn enemies including much of their own population...see the 60 minutes clip below...

#7 Iran's eventual goal is take over the Muslim holy sites from the Wahhabi Saudis.

and a whole bunch of other stuff no doubt...

Don't want to hear any complaining from you libs when we start carpet bombing Iran.Iran has had several years and hundreds of warnings to stop enriching plutonium but ignors all of them.It will be nobodys fault but their own when Isreal and the United states invades, occupies, and destroys Iran.

You know, if you carpet bomb Iran you're just going to have one more nation pissed at you. Wasn't 911 enough, do you really want more countries pissed at you? And what kind of weak message does it send for them to have gotten "hundreds of warnings"?

I do not wish to argue either, but I will point out three differences in our points of view,,,,

1.though the 'wages of sin' are death,, only God has the authority to give either, it is not the place of a the religious or non religious

2.If jesus is coming with a sword,,I doubt he needs or welcomes the interference of christians or non christians and is more than capable of using that 'sword' in whichever manner he has decided,,,it is Jesus sword,, not ours

3.If we are talking self defense, I agree that noone(religious or non religious) has to willfully allow their life to be taken instead of fight back(although on one very historic moment, that is exactly the choice Jesus made). This , however, is different than ASSUMING someone across the ocean means to do you harm and 'attacking' them. The only exception would be, as in the examples you gave, GOD himself gave the instruction,,but he has yet to speak that word to me directly.
