i really am looking forward to it. i have friends and family both in indy and newawlins. so it is a cant lose proposition. it should be some awesome football too! but first the Caps and the Pens have to finish up in Washington.

As much as I love football, usually I just watch for the funny commercials(2.8 millon per 30sec this year). At least since 1994 when my 49ers were last in it
 . Although this year is not short of an interesting storyline. With New Orleans less than 5yrs removed from the tragic hurricane katrina. Two great qbs in Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, Manning growing up in Louisiana, his dad Archie a former Saints legend, should be a great game.

Who Care? Not me...I'm watching The Who at half time... OMG...I saw them on their first 'farewell tour' in the early 80's. (they are in their 60's now) Could we get some non-dinosaur bands maybe???? I've heard that they sounded HORRIBLE when they were practicing for the set. Unfortunately, we are going to continue to see the same petrified dinosaur crap posing as halftime " entertainment " for the foreseeable future thanks to MTV and the Janet Jackson boob fiasco. It's gotten to be completely absurd when they think Tom Petty ( one of the biggest potheads on the planet ) can be considered " wholesome " entertainment. That and the absurd " rush to the stage " by all the teens, acting like Tom Petty is the greatest thing since sliced bread when the vast majority of them had absolutely no clue who he even IS until a few days before the game. The halftime show for the Super Bowl has gotten to be completely pathetic. Let's hope no one in The Who has a colostomy bag explode. Although....at least THAT would be mildly entertaining. |
