Well, firstly, thanks for looking. It's a start, eh? I'm Mike. I've been kicking about single for a while now and I decided to do something about it. Turns out that after joining Mingle2 I discovered the forums and you'll see me kicking about there almost daily :) What do you need to know about me? Well, I'm a very laid back guy. I'm not into short flings or one-night stands - I've never really enjoyed that stuff - I'm looking for someone to spend some real time with, someone special. I'd look for someone who really shared my curiosity about life - somebody who's as inquisitive as I am about everything, always game to try something new (maybe with a little coaxing), someone who stops to read that random article on 'whatever' or who's constantly thinking "wow, I'd like to learn that" - it's very much how I think and work :) I'm a pilot. I tore myself to bits thinking about how to phrase that to make it sound less arrogant, but I came to the conclusion that it's such a big part of who I am I couldn't not put it in here (besides, it [i]is[/i] rather cool :tongue:). I've just spent almost £100,000 and 14 months training for it, I've never wanted anything as much as I wanted my licence. Now I have it and I'm killing time in Taunton, Somerset waiting for the airline to snap me up. Another Paragraph! What shall I talk about? Oh yeah, I love hiking, camping, scrambling and all that outdoorsy stuff - I was into the 'staycation' (what a crap term :s) long before it became popular :p Nothing like a cottage the Lake District or North Wales for fantastic weeks away :) Well, that's a wee snapshot of me as I currently stand. I wonder if you're reading this thinking 'yes, that's me!', or even if you're wondering if I'm actually like this in real life? Drop me a line - worst case is that you think I'm a complete idiot (hey, it happens) A couple of pointers: Really, do send me mail. I'm out to make friends as well as looking for someone special. Do mail me rather than nudge or match or some such - whereas I do see when people have nudged me or viewed me I'm really never going to get to know them through the limited medium of 'nudge, kick, kiss or hug'.
