I think we can all live without them. We will survive, but I think that these things allow us to be connected to others. Or, in the case of TV, it allows us to get away from our daily problems. What did people do before cell phones and TV and computers? They actually went out, met people and did things, instead of mainly sitting on their butts (in the cases of computers and TV). There probably were a lot less singles out there.

But, I need the sci-fi channel. I need the escape. and the shows are good. not like the reality shows another forum person mentioned.

The question is: Can you live without your Tv,Radio, &Telephone? Or, (Have you-all, ever tried to live without one of these?) My neighbors had a power outage, and lost the use of their tv, and telephone ......Oh, they are still mad.

yeah, I could survive withuot those three things,, Id just have to find other things to do...

I went on a 10 day holiday to the remote beach house- which was very basic!
I enjoyed no tv radio or internet. and I met a lovely old friend which I got to know a little better - we danced and talked and took lots of photos. Bliss!
There was a tsunami warning issued while I was on this holiday right on the beach- and I didnt even know~) needless to say New Zealand was safe!!!

I could go without the TV easily. I could probably do the radio, though I'd be listening to my stereo and CD's. And the extras on a cell phone could go, though I'd keep one on hand for emergencies.

Man vs Wild - Bear Grylls. How does he do it? No phone, tv, radio, or internet, yet he somehow manages to survive.

I've noticed a trend of people abandoning their TV's lately. I think it's good. I abandoned TV a long time ago...

I could do it!! I lived in the rainforest two summers in a row...with no electricity...not to mention a phone, radio, or TV!! The experiences were actually quite nice!

As long as I don't lose my internet, I'm fine.
