You know, I always have had issues with men like Benny Hinn. Not because I mind that they do earn a lot of money. If what they are doing is for the right reasons, then ok...who am I to judge. It's the fact that I don't find men like Hinn to be truthful in what they ARE doing. I have read too many reports about pastors, evangelists, and ministers who take more than what they give.
Look at Billy Graham. Sure, he made a nice living for himself. But do you realize what his ministry has given to the world. Tons of money, and all other kinds of charity. The difference between Hinn and Graham is that Hinn is not truly honest about what his intentions are. Yeah, he looks good on tv, and he can preach. But deep down, his true purpose is not genuine. |

amen to lead by example. As christians we are to make good witnesses for God. We are to uplift God in everything we do. If we do not then when we tell other people what they are doing is wrong is then in vein because we are doing the same exact thing.
That is why God told us before we help our neighbor with his splinter to take the beam out of our eye. As in make sure we are worhiping and living as we're suppose to before we worry about helping others, cause again if we don't we are working in vein. |

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. |

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Matthew 10:14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. |

I like the lead by example. According to state regulations whenever we find a resident on the floor we are to notify the nurse. I noticed a resident on the floor with his knees on the floor and his elbows on the bed. I put on the report that this was praying since he did not fall but slid off the floor onto the rubber pad and I could hear him talking to God.
Romans 13:1-7 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. |

Many of those God favored were rich, Job, Abraham,,etc,,,,
The point was that wealth should not interfere or come before ones relationship with God. I dont have a problem with what pastors wear, as long as their works are those of God. |
