I'm reading Jim Butcher's Furies of Calderon

How are they? That series looks good.

I've got a couple of books left to grab, but looking forward to getting into his Dresden series.

The Codex Alera is a great series, the characters are every bit as alive as the Dreseden File's, and the Tolkinesque flavor is a refreshing change.

Excellent. I'll have to snag those books when I get a chance!

Several of the paranormal romances have rolled out the past couple of weeks, and I'm rolling through them. Just picked up Lynsay Sands new Argeneau books, Hungry for You. Should be done in a couple of hours.

Also finished Last Dragon Standing by G.A. Aiken, Highland Protector by Hannah Howell, Twice a Hero by Susan Krinard, The Last Twilight by Marjorie Liu, and Finding the Path & Other Tales of Valdemar by Mercedes Lackey, this week, so far.

I love the Argeneau series, its the best. Read all the books. Have u ever read the blackdagger brotherhood series. Very good. The Dark Hunter series is awasome too.
If u like Lynsay ill love these.

Love the Dark Hunter series, as well as Kenyon's books. Haven't gotten into the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but they're up on my wish list. There's a lot of good books out lately.

Reading Twice As Hot by Gena Showalter right now, and have enjoyed her other fun books and the Lords of the Underworld series she has put out.

I should finish Darwinia by Robert Wilson today, and then I'm popping in to The Age of Ra, and The Age of Zeus by James Lovegrove after that. The Age of Odin comes out spring next year.

I've been reading this enormous DK (Dorling Kindersley) volume called "Prehistoric Life" for awhile now. The book is about the size of Oregon, and dozens of writers have contributed to it.

It's partly research for one of my future projects -- there's a bit with a stegosaurus in "White Rainbow," and I may even toss in a hallucigenia....

The Essential Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra

Not only are everyday coincidences meaningful, they actually provide us with glimpses of the field of infinite possibilities that lies at the heart of all things. By gaining access to this wellspring of creation, we can literally rewrite our destinies in any way we wish.

From this realm of pure potential we are connected to everything that exists and everything that is yet to come. “Coincidences” can then be recognized as containing precious clues about particular facets of our lives that require our attention. As you become more aware of coincidences and their meanings, you begin to connect more and more with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. This is when the magic begins. This is when you achieve the spontaneous fulfillment of desire.

At a time when world events may leave us feeling especially insignificant and vulnerable, Deepak Chopra restores our awareness of the awesome powers within us. And through specific principles and exercises he provides the tools with which to create the magnificent, miraculous life that is our birthright.

Reading The King's Peace and The King's Name by Jo Walton.

Got the five missing books from Jim Butchers Dresden files that I was reading, so I can get into the first 10 books in the series. May do that after the new year.

I'm into single books right now, and I'm trying to make 150-155 books this year within a 7 month period. I'm on 146 books read this year, since June when I started logging them as such. I've read far more then that, but didn't log them.

I love books!

Generally speaking, it takes me about 3 hrs to go through a book about 350 pages. I'm not technically speed-reading either, since I have to read the "the", "a", and all the other little words that speed-reading teaches you to drop. More technical books, or non-fiction take me a bit longer. I don't do as much TV anymore, especially when re-runs hit, so where I would be spending time watching TV, I'm curled up on the couch reading. That 7-10pm time frame gets a lot of reading done.
