Ever met someone at a bar that ended up turning into a lasting relationship? I get the impression that most at bars are looking for casual sex. Just curious

When I was in my 20's, I met somebody at a bar. He was with a mutual friend of ours though. The relationship lasted 12 years.

The one guy I ever met from a bar ended up married with 2 kids. So um, no and ew. No guys from bars.

Met someone at a bar....wound up being together for 5 years. lol

Met several in bars before I quit drinking at 22 -- all short-termers.

All I met in bars were:


Youngsters

Married men

Alcholics

Whore bartenders!

I've met lots of great people in bars. And yes, many of them were looking for relationships. But, they also weren't opposed to hooking up with the right person either.

If there's a better place to meet someone, more people mixing socially, I'd like top know where it is.

Same here. I really hate the married ones, they take off their rings and hit on you. Yuck.

No, I don't meet people in bars. I can't find myself caring much about someone who is drunk off their *** slurring every word they speak for a long-term relationship. That and I don't tend to find that many intelligent people in a bar, just an observation.

Everytime I have ever gone to a bar it was a total meat market! Once in a while I'd hit a very small neighborhood pub where I did meet nice men and women

But around here its who can sleep with who-married or not-women who will knock you out and step over you if a man is the least bit interested in her

Absolutely not. Most people at a bar are not in their
"correct frame of mind" ... every woman I've met at a
bar has been, at most, a good friend ... nothing has
been lasting. I've had better luck at Baskin Robbins :)

I don't really go to bars enough to actually meet someone there... and I am usually driving... so watching the drunk guys drooling over women... yep... lots of fun!

Not everyone goes to the bars to get drunk [*hiccup*]..... I like going to shoot pool....

Never tried to pick up someone from a bar...if i go I go with with someone.

yep...met him that night, went home with him that night and spent the next 8 years together.
