Topic: Language barriers | |
---|---|
If you met someone you thought seemed like a really nice person...not to mention attractive...but they didn't speak your language very well and you struggled to have a decent conversation would you strive to make it work or just move on?

Find ways to communicate and get your point across... try google translator or babblefish. If you feel you really need to make sure that you are being understood... switch on the computer and translate. Just understand those translators are perfect.
If you like the person and they genuinely like you back, help each other learn the other's language. Best wishes. |

Online communication is difficult enough with just the written word, if this someone was someone I met IRL I would consider it.

If I could tap it, I'd hang around for awhile but it would become a problem!

Id move on,, unless I was planning to take some classes and learn their language,, or vice versa,,,communication is of primary importance to me |

I work with people all over the world. There can definitely be language barriers. Because of that, I doubt I could put up with it when dating.

I'm pretty optimistic.

My main problem with stuff like that is, they could be calling me a bad name and I wouldn't even know it. Like where I live now, the regional accent is so thick, I can't understand them, who knows what my nicknames are????
