a universal holiday what would you choose to celebrate and which day? hmmm,,, Id choose Parents day,,,doesnt matter the date. It would be to celebrate the backbone of the family that parents are there to provide. To celebrate their choice to be together and to nurture and provide and sacrifice for the good of their offspring,,US |

My father and I talked about this today. There ought to be a Christian holiday called Renewal, or Re-Awakening. The best time for it would be the first Sunday of January. The holiday would involve prayer, meditation, communion, sprititual renewal, resolution of past transgressions, and tuning one's own spirit to be better and stronger than it was the previous year. I would also suggest a burning ritual where everyone writes down on a sheet paper what they did wrong last year, what they are feeling guilty about, any sins they want forgiven, what happened to them that was out of their control, etc. and then throw the parchment into the flame. A gesture of absolvence and looking to the new year to make it better for yourself and learn from our mistakes of the previous year. Just an interesting idea we had. Happy New Year.

a universal holiday what would you choose to celebrate and which day? I would create a holiday where we all do atleast one unslefish thing for atleast one person, and the unslefish act gets passed on. For example you give a dollar to a homeless man, he in turns give a dollar to another homeless person. Or, you pay for the persons meal behind you at Mc Donalds, he in turn buys another stranger a meal. I would call National Giving Day. |

A FAMILY DEATH DAY.....where every family around this world could take time to pay tribute to their lost family members, once a year!
And not have to hustle or work to accomplish that.... |
